The drastic falloff in racers at local asphalt tracks can, in my opinion, be directly tied to these types of rules. Would Bronson pull in more entries if racers were allowed to use their own tires? Of course. Their own gas? Of course. If a local auto dealer, fast food place, home improvement store, or speed shop were putting up the money for the purse in this race, the racers don't get charged $50 bucks each. And if the track rules allowed any tire, the racers wouldn't have to purchase tires from every track they race at. Exactly the same tire by the way, just has that particular track's marking on it.

Again once agreed.The track owners here are doing no favors to the race teams,fans or stock car racing as a whole.Keep at it guys and there will only be dirt tracks left.

I can have Hoosier dirt tires shipped to my front door or purchase them at the local speed shop and mount them at my leisure...I have been going to dirt tracks since the mid 80's,never been to a dirt track that required you to buy their tires or fuel.

Three big OWM races in the 3 weeks coming up. Desoto and Auburndale have better payouts than the Bronson race (and no entry fee or tire and fuel requirements). I wonder where all the OWM's will be????
