Auburndale Speedway will host the first of eight SUNOCO Super 8 Series 100 lap races on Sat. Feb. 28th., to open the season. SUNOCO along with Southern Racing Fuels, Hoosier Tires, and AR Bodies have been added to the growing list of series sponsors that will offer over ten thousand dollars in points fund monies and awards.
We are adding sponsors to support the series that will hold all SUNOCO Super 8 races at Auburndale, said track owner Rex Guy. We are very excited about the 2015 season, we will continue to have Ricky Brooks as the SLM Race Director and we have added well know FL short track legend Don "Critter" Cretty to run the weekly programs added Guy.
Auburndale Speedway has struck a deal with Raceivers to have transponders for the season. The second SUNOCO Super 8 race is scheduled for Sat. March 21st, for more info go to www.auburndalespeedway.net or call 863 287-4344.

A continuation of the famous FUPS train wreck at Auburndale. Critter will be in charge this time, so hopefully no craziness from the owner or series promoter.

        right direction

I will say having Critter and Ricky there, is a step in the right direction, but the owner has blown up the bridge with a lot of racers and fans, it may take some time to rebuild it. The other big problem I see, is, it is the worst track in Florida for being a "one groove track". Great track for Legends and Street Stocks, but as far as Late Models go, I would rather see Critter and Ricky at a different track in Florida. Just my two cents, Vince Patola

Any idea of car count or who will be attending this event?

          Are "cone" restarts expected?
