A race fan has started a drive online to get the Presidential Freedom Medal for AJ Foyt. After all Foyt has done in racing over the years, i'd agree he should probably be on the list of possible medal winners.
You can vote on this by going to the White House web site and going to the page. It requires 100,000 signatures by March.

I think it would be even more appropriate to have the Britts "knight" him, though.
