    Hey Scott

Once again, GREAT AND THOROUGH JOB DAVE!!!! Well worth the short wait. Thanks.

On a side note, boy they just can't seem to make those New Hampshire Sportsman cars legal can they? Must be like the Patriots footballs. The car scaled legal in the NH cold but the increase in temperature in FL made it gain left side weight!
Hey Scott, The New Hampshire boys came to play, thats more then I can say for you. Where was the 07 team at ? They're not here for the money,They just like to go fast. Why don't you lightin up a little, we need all the cars that we can get to the track. If you think about it, I think that you said that just a short time ago. Oh,by the way, have a nice day.

It was a sarcastic barb aimed at the guy that was giving Dave shit for not having it up quick enough. in the other thread. I figured someone would misunderstand, though if you've ever read any of my posts I'm not sure how? I know it's a labor of love and I appreciate.

"Great soundbites, but does anyone care to put it together in story form?"--Me

Yo, if I am "that guy" feel free to call me out by name.

        a) I cannot remember squat
        b) I did not know that Dave was putting together his stellar re-cap, and may not remember it next time.

It was a straight up open question, and Dave's coming report had nothing to do with the post.

Prior to Dave's detailed report, there were only references to "the big crashes" and so forth.

I knew that post would rattle your cage Xracer. I thought it WAS pretty light and funny. We do indeed need all the cars we can get to the track, legal one's though. It's nice that they like to go fast, but if you have to always cheat to do it what are you really proving? And, oh yeah, where was the 07? We are still fixing the damage created by the idiot in the 17 (NH car) at the Governor's Cup who couldn't figure out how to get around my dying car with no one around us a half a lap behind the field and spun me into the frontstretch wall. We all don't have a chassis builder on the payroll like Mr. Dailey. You have a nice day too!

Hey for your info, the guy in the 17 car was from Orlando and has raced at OSW for years. And if being 2lbs light is trying to cheat,I don't know what this world is coming too......It's like not having a bottle of water before the race. Do you think that they realy was trying to cheat by that little? Wake up,Lets just go and have fun.

Wow! He has experience and still couldn't get around a disabled car with the whole track a half a lap behind the field? It might be time for him to give it up then. It was understandable if it was newbie rookie, but I guess that's not the case. Didn't you guys have 2 cars DQ'd? So if it was 2 lbs was each car 1 lb light? lol. The excuses ring hollow when you get caught over and over and over. And when my car is ready I will definitely go out and have some fun over at NSS starting with the 50 lapper May 16th. One thing is for sure, if we're good enough to finish in the top 3, I won't be worried in the tech shed!

I am today sending Dave a check for $50.00 and I challenge others to dig deep and reward him for his efforts to keep us not only entertained, but informed......

I could not agree more all Dave has to do is go tell them he wants more money its not like they have guys standing it line for that job.

                        That there is funny.

Actually, looked into writing a while back and the entire industry is in decline--due to, you guessed it, folks posting stuff on line.

The information is free, the folks posting it are doing it for free... good for the readers, not so much for the writers.

ok then Dave two ways to do this start your own website a charge a fee to be able to read your race reports think of it like a news paper. or just don't do it . I like reading them but you should be paid for your time.

It's just too big of a hassle to set up another website and maintain it... I already have one and the thing has become a monster! I'll keep writing press releases etc. because it's what I like to do and a great way to connect with the fans and race teams... I wish I could win the lottery or something (of course how can you win the lottery when you can't afford to play it LOL), then I would devote what time I've got left before arthritis and senility set it (not far off) to recording and writing about history... I have tons of contacts that I have yet to even approach because I just don't have the time and the reources, but you can always dream... After Speedweeks you can probably find me taking your gas money and making coffee at a 7-11...

For a while, I did some race reporting myself, and I can guarantee its neither easy nor profitable.
It takes a LOT of time, research, effort, etc. In short, NOT an easy task.
I have no clue how Dave does both.

It got to where I had to decide before I left the house whether I was gonna be a writer, or a FAN. Couldn't do both and enjoy it all. Both sides have their advantages, but I couldn't do both and truly enjoy myself.

Dave does it a little because there are some cool advantages....
But he does it MAINLY because he loves this sport and he can make it better for all of us through his passion.

Between Dave & Marty Little, they have contributed soooooo much to Fla racing that whoever is 3rd is way behind them.

Dave. You do get paid at the track right?...

Man you have a talent... You are the best announcer there is.
