LAKELAND DRIVER DYLAN MARTIN NEEDS HELP TO WIN SPONSORSHIP FROM CHAMPION SPARK
PLUGS
17-year-old Lakeland racer Dylan Martin is in the process of trying to win a
sponsorship as part of the $125,000 being offered by Champion Spark Plugs and
you can help him. One-third of the contest is about who receives the most
on-line votes, so it gives our local area fans the opportunity to help out one
of their own. You have to register the first time you vote but after that it
will only take a few seconds and you can vote once a day, but only once. So
please set your phone to remind you every day until February 3rd to vote for
Dylan Martin.
Your time can make a difference in his journey to enhance his racing career by
winning this contest. Martin is proving everyday on and off the track that he
is a true champion. Starting at the age of eight, Martin won numerous titles
in Quarter Midgets before moving up to the Pro Truck class in 2011 where he
quickly turned heads winning the "Triple Crown" championship as a rookie.
Along with his stellar runs in the Trucks, Martin has spent much of his time
as a racing ambassador working with various groups and charities in the
Lakeland area. He became a spokesperson for T.A.D.D. (Teens Against
Distracted Driving) in 2013 and also that year received the honor of being
named one of Bay News 9's "Everyday Heroes." In 2012 he alone raised $6,000
for C.A.R.S. Racing for a Cause, Inc., a non-profit that helps children and
families facing terminal illnesses which he presented to the organization at
their yearly charity Truck race in December.
This year, Martin hopes to fulfill a big part of his racing dream by moving up
to the Late Models and that is where the Champion Spark Plug sponsorship would
come in very handy. so please take a minute to share this on your Facebook
