NEED A RACING FIX? EIGHT CLASSES SET TO RACE JANUARY 9th AT ORLANDO
    SPEEDWORLD

Orlando SpeedWorld will kick off it's 2015 Stock Car Racing season on Friday
evening, January 9th with a huge eight division race program to usher in the
new year. Sponsors of the event are Clean Cut Tree Service of Melbourne,
Jack's Wrecker Service of Melbourne and Brevard Rentals.
The Sportsman cars return for the first time in quite awhile to headline the
program. Also in action will be the Super Stocks, 6/8 Cylinder Strictly
Stocks and 4 Cylinder Stocks. The Legend Cars and Bandoleros also return to
action along with the Mini Cup cars and the Antique racers.
Pit gates will open once again early at 2 pm with practice starting at 3 pm.
This is an "open" practice session and all types of cars/trucks are welcome to
come out for a shake down or just to get the driver some "seat time."
Practice will go from 3-7 pm so everyone will get plenty of time to get in
some hot laps. Tires and fuel will be available and a food concession will be
operating in the pit area so bring your car and an empty stomach too!
Grandstand gates for spectators will open at 7 pm with racing getting under
way at 8 pm. Adult admission is just $12 and all kids aged 11 and under get
    in free.

My local aluminum dealer, here in Orlando, same guy as yours, is busy racing or something. He is going to get me some aluminum soon.

                    Phil Jacques is surely Smug!

Doggone if one way or the other Speedworld isn't about to rise again (insert Southern joke here).

                    Scott--you racing?

Patrick--if you are straight up (?),

                    A) the thing looked/was pretty fast before, and

                    B) you removed the body before you had another (or at least the raw materials for another) to go back on...?

Finally, not that it needs to be said (and particularly to you), but those AMF cars are consistently slick and just plain a joy to behold.

Hey Old School, would love to run but we are currently in off season rebuild mode. Gotta order up a new crate and fix the rear end damage from getting "idioted" at the Governor's Cup. First race for us will be the Sportsman opener at Desoto (3/21). I hope OSW gets a good field though.

HaHa oldschool, this is the time of year that you get support division cars ready for the next season. I was going to buy aluminum 2 weeks ago from one of the big box stores, but my local guy said I'll be getting it in soon, so I'm gonna let them get it in. The motor is out, the front suspension just went back on, the chassis was pressure washed and is being resquared and touched up. Planning on racing a lot this year and want the car to look good as well as run good. It will be ready for the speed weeks 50 lap sportsman race at newsmyrna. Maybe even painted and lettered. Sponsors needed lots of room on the car.
