  • Saturday - Coulter Charity Trucks - Auburndale !!!

Well folks Saturday night came and the truck count only increased by 2 to 19, while the Sportsman field had 10 cars start their 100 lapper. While attending this race for the ninth year I once again realized the importance of this race and the cause for which the event is held. Nice job by all involved with this event. Announcer Dave was at the best I have ever heard him. His interviews with the drivers before & after the race were just simply professional and very informative. The announcing during the race by Announcer Dave and his co-announcer was right on. Great job guys. Now as to the finish, barring any DQ's, the Trucks saw #50 Danny Anderson with a late race pass (lap #92) of #41 Darvalics who remained in second. Third went to #98 of Cody Allen (unsure if name is correct), 4th to #14 of Scott and 5th to Rebecca Monopoli in the #59. Very entertaining race with many twists and turns,. Sure hope Announcer Dave gets to do his recap of this race as it will be well worth reading. Sportsman race went to #56 Brandon Morris, who drove away from the field. 2nd to #77 Narramore Jr and third to the Z car driven this night by Dylan Martin. #199 Jenkins was fourth and #8 of Scott was fifth. The announcing team changed for the Sportsman feature so it was just a wee bit more difficult getting names straight. Still a nice job by the announcer as well.

    Coulter A'Dale race continued

Racing was completed around nine thirty. The show was very well run with only a ten minute delay for the start. Great job by Rick Bristol. I give this man a great big thank you for all the work he puts into this event. Many folks were given thanks trackside at the beginning of the night and their efforts are very well appreciated. Many tears in the eyes of the folks in the stands as well as on the track as Rick had the interviews with the families who will benefit from the Charity Truck race. I as a fan would also like to thank the Guys and their staff for having this event at A'Dale. After the truck race, Announcer Dave interviewed the winner Danny Anderson and this young man's heartfelt story in Victory lane gave a new meaning of friendship to everyone at the track. Great night folks !!! PS: Another order of potato wedges added to my chicken strips hit home again....Great food !!! Wishing everyone a great Holiday season....Merry Christmas and Happy New Year...see ya next year !!!

      Was the race so bad

You know it is a shame when no one from CARS or A-Dale will post anything about the "BIGGEST SHOW OF THE YEAR!" Was it that bad? Or did you get the money, and don't feel the need to spred the news. Not reporting it Sunday is ok,but thats gone now too! So whats the deal? I know it must be hard for Dave not report,so lets get on the ball Rick

            Amazing racer….really

You know I am amazed at the gull of some folks…..Denman thanks for being there every year and I am glad you enjoyed and felt it was a good show and that you realize why we do it.

xracer45 if you only knew how tired and sick I was, how much we still had to do Sunday and besides Dave Westerman was already working on a story and results but he was writing for two days worth of stuff and waiting to make sure we got all the info in the story. You don't even have a clue whats involved. I really don't like to be mean but come on man !

Thanks Dave for getting the story out for the event. I appreciate your help this weekend old pal.

            Katlizy thanks for coming !

              "gull of some folks"

Rick, First of all you should be happy that people want results from your race, that indicates that there is interest in it! This is a good thing. Dave's story is great, it would have taken me three or four days to write all of that. My suggestion as far as reporting news is, put the results up 15 min after the race or when tech clears in this case, and at the bottom write, "story to follow". I myself had two or three calls from friends that could not make the race, asking for the results on Sunday. Monday or Tues, results and story are just to late, to be considered news. Looks to have been a good race, for a good cause.... Congrats..... Vince P.

Vince I would have done that but I had no internet connection at Auburndale and have no internet at home, so had to wait until Monday... I did a quick report on the Friday show from the motel at 3 am Sunday though...

I don't think complimenting someones bird ( in this case, their gull ) is going to take focus off of the issue. People are pointing out that they're interested in your charity race, interested in the results, and all you can come up with is how the average person has no clue as to what's involved.
Thank you for putting on charity races, please keep putting on charity races. But you just don't seem to be very good at the nuts and bolts stuff. You're you own and Coulters worst enemy when it comes to communicating your cause. Nobody asked if you were tired and/or sick, they merely asked where the race results were. Sports results are typically released very soon after the finish of the event, certainly by early the next morning. So it's not unreasonable for people to expect to see those results within that time frame.

I wouldn't even respond to comments or touch the spoon of which is used to stir s&@t. I notice the same people always have something negative to say about something. Neither of which have probably ever ran a track nor an event other that their grandpas sisters uncles cousins next store neighbors sister in laws birthday party. For everybody that posts positive thing or non negative comments and commentary thank you. For all the negative people who know everything ... Start your own track and show everybody what us got. The end.
