No Doug, I already asked and they didn't want to hear anything about "big motor" mods. BTW mine is far from a big motor LOL

isn't a big motor either.......354. Are e mods all crate motors ? Or do they have a built motor thing too? Just curious

From reading Karnac, it looks as though if somebody beats you in the mods, it's because they're running a big motor.
There's no legitimate reason for not lumping the Es and the real OWMs together. There's plenty of proven ways to equalize the 2 classes.... plates, 2 vs 4 barrels, weight, tires, and many others.

I think that there would be a lot of grey areas. You would dam sure have to have a tech man who was on it. Anyone remember when sunshine had the 420 lift rule ? I like the idea of equal motors and let the driver and chassis win races. As for the crate motors........I just don't think they are all legal and that's just my opinion.

I'm sure if you want to race you probably can in your situation... Give John Hodge a call at Space Coast Fabrication - 321-480-6957 - He's the one helping to put the Mod deal together and he can go over things with you...

Yes at orlando and as far as built motor you have to go off the super stock motor rules to run in the crate class. and its always been if your in the race you can buy someones crate motor for what it cost to replace it. as far as someone with a built super stock motor I think it 's 1,000 to do a comeplete tear down.

                      Bigger motor mods

There is nothing against the bigger motor mod guys just that the people helping pay for this race have Emods. I wish I had a motor for my Emod I would be there with it. There where a lot of cars last week and hopefully they all come back and I know a few more that are coming this week. There isn't really a good way the make them close without both having to make changes that will cost money. This race is to show Smyrna that emods do have a good car count if they wil listen.

I don't think NSS is a good track for E - Mods anyway. They're more suited to a track like OSW.

The track needs a 'headline' class and the division needs a home. This could work great for both.

                            There's a good idea!
Somebody update the title to this thread or start another one perhaps.

"next week" sounds like...well, next week.

Kind of like "free beer tomorrow".

I was thinking the same thing.... if I hadn't been following this thread all week, it would appear that TONIGHT'S races are postponed.
