Sunday Leftovers at Bubba - Pretty Good Day/Night Races

Back home again after my trips to the Nascar races at Phoenix and Miami for the season enders. Made my trip to BRP for the second annual Leftover Specials. Good Sunday afternoon crowd. Only issue was the traffic which was unreal getting to the track. Normal 1 hr 15 min drive took close to 3 hours. Many others I spoke with had longer times. Track delayed the start by a little over an hour to accommodate drivers and fans who were still in traffic. Races were very well run after the event started. Green flag counts saw, 17 Top Gun sprints, 16 modifieds, 17 Thunderstocks, 16 Hobby Stocks, and 12 Mini Sprints. 25 lap Sprint feature went to Danny Martin in the #24 who started 3rd. #82 of Kurtz and #83 of Ruhl Jr had a good race for second with Ruhl Jr taking the spot in the late laps of the race. Mods put on a heck of a race with #64 Austin Sanders taking the win over #78 Pratt and Buzzie in the #00, The mods had some great racing in their heats as well. Mini-Sprints saw the #77 Smith win the 20 lapper. Thunder Stocks saw #33 of Gamble while Hobby Stocks had the #55 of Walker taking their feature.

Bubba Sunday continued.....

I thought all the divisions had great nights and each one was worth the price of admission alone. Very rarely do I see an event where the five classes all race the way these guys did last night. Too many names too mention and each division had several drivers with good runs. Action aplenty as well. The track conditions seemed to be the best I have seen at BRP in a long, long time. Joe Dirt announced the Sprints were at 13.32 seconds and the Mini Sprints in the mid 14 second bracket. Wish he had mentioned the speed conversion as well. As mentioned the show ran well after starting and the 11 heats and five main events were run in an orderly fashion. Truly glad I attended this event for the second year and hope the Leftover Classic returns in 2015 . I have concluded that I will be back at BRP many times in the upcoming 2015. Good racing and nice time....Thanks again BRP for the show......BTW Only had fries and a pretzel tonight which both were good. Guess I was still full after the Thanksgiving holiday....See ya at the races !!!

Track conditions.Seems like when there is lack of rain BRP track is great but with a lot of rain during the week the track can be preety bad.Bet because the concrete below drainage can be a concern great track though..
