LAKE CITY SPEEDWAY COMES BACK TO LIFE THIS WEEKEND
After sitting dormant all year, racing action finally returns to Lake City
Speedway as track owner Robert Hart will present a two day racing program
Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
Saturday afternoon, the Sportsman cars will race for 50 laps and $1,000 to
win. Also on the program will be the E-Modifieds, Super Stock/Pure Stocks and
Strictly Stock/Hornets. Sunday afternoon, the E-Modifieds get their turn at
going 50 laps, also for $1,000 to win. The Sportsman cars will also be
running along with the Super Stock/Pure Stock and Strictly Stock/Hornets.
All race teams are welcome, just bring the rules from your track and weight to
add if necessary.
Pit gates open each morning at 9 am with practice running from 10-12 pm.
Grandstand gates open at 11 am and racing starts at 1 pm. Vendors will be on
hand but coolers will also be allowed, but no glass please.
Adult admission is $12 while seniors and military with ID will be admitted for
$10. Kids 11 and under are free of charge.
Saturday evening the track will host a free get-together featuring food, music
and a bonfire. All racers and fans are welcome to attend. There will also be
free primitive overnight camping available. Come out for a great weekend of
racing at Lake City Speedway.
