ORLANDO SPEEDWORLD BACK IN ACTION FRIDAY NIGHT
Orlando SpeedWorld returns to racing action this Friday night with three
classes doing battle on the three-eighths mile oval. Once again the racing
program is being presented by Clean Cut Tree Service of Melbourne.
Classes running will be the Super Stocks, Six/Eight Cylinder Strictly Stocks
and Four Cylinder Strictly Stocks. Each class will run heats and a 30-lap
feature. Purses are as follows:
Super Stocks - 1) $300 2) $150 3) $75 4&5) $50
Both Strictly Stock classes: 1) $200 2) $100 3) $75 4&5) $50
Winners of the races held three weeks ago are expected back in action
including Charles King (6/8 Cylinder), Zachary Curtis (4 Cylinder) and Art
Hendren (Super Stock).
Pit gates open Friday afternoon at 4 pm with open practice slated to start at
6 pm. This will be another "open" session and is available to any car/driver
in any class wanting to shake down their racer or get some "seat time."
Grandstand gates open at 7 pm and racing begins at 8 pm. Adult admission is
$12.
The grandstands have been given a facelift over the past week with a complete
pressure washing and new paint. Fans are urged to come out and support some
great grass roots racing.
