Is there anything we can do to save USA? please post!!! we have to try...

A Classic example of how to destroy racing!
    Top Notch Facility!
Sit on it and Dont promote anything and wonder why your facility is in the red!
Exspect everyone to show up without knowing whats going on!
And then to say better show up since it's the last race...
    Gee thanks for the memories!
This owner is a first class scumbag in my book!!!
    GREED AT ITS FINEST!!!!!

Everyone can say what they want but poor promotion, high ticket prices and everything else that has been said here had nothing to do with the demise of this race track. You can take it straight to the top of Hooters. When Robert Brooks died USA was doomed. The track was sold by the family for a dirt cheap price to Tony Amico who had no intentions but to sell the track for development. Just look at what has happend to the series in the years since Brooks has passed. The writing was on the wall.........

          not really a surprise...

ya know... we all heard about Tony buying the track and his plans to sell... and when you come right down to it... do we even have the right to tell someone what to do with their property? i dont know why Hialea is gone but it seems like we might be all wet behind the ears thinking it is always about bad promoting....it isnt.... that doesnt mean we shouldnt work our a$$es off promoting our tracks...it just means it may not make any difference if the owner has other plans. nothing good lasts forever. if anything else folded up i could live with it...disney, movies, etc etc...but i am an addict and i need my fix... VAROOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Tune into 102.5 with Bubba and he is doing a promotional deal for the track on tickets. We too are sad to see it go.That was the first track we worked at in 1995 it was a 1/4 mile track then so we have been there from the beginning. Please support you tracks yours to may be gone one day !

Even know this track as caused alot of trouble for me. I never had any luck there it will be sad to see it go. I never agreed with the pricing for front gate and the pit gate but we all had to put up with it. i hate seeing any track close and hope that the ones we support on a weekly basis don't follow.

The team enjoyed the times we raced there. And enjoyed Aaron's win there also. But I have never understood why there wasn't weekly races there. But frankly I live in Lakeland and till 3 days ago didn't know they were racing there this week end. I also think this track was gone the day it was sold to the current owner. And even if you had 10,000 fans turned away this weekend it would still be the last race.

The story is in today's (Lakeland) Ledger on the front page! It's a done deal and the track IS GONE. Warehouses are on the way. So this WILL BE the last race.

Ed, save the mini donuts for our trip. Lets give the winner something more useful like a one month membership to www.carolwicksXXX.com

One would think that 1 or 2 of the cup guys would get together and buy the track. That seems to be a trend with some of them around the country. I cannot think of too many facilities around that are nicer then USA speedway. I would also like to think that this Tony ?goof being a so called "racer" would keep the track and maybe sub divide the property. I am sure there is alot more to it like a lot of $$$.

On the bright side maybe that little doughnut trailer will come to Orlando and Nss more often.
