I don't consider anyone in sports a "hero," I learned that lesson when I was a kid and looked up to Darryl Strawberry and Doc Gooden. The real heroes are everyday people like teachers, firefighters, policemen, etc. etc.. Tony is talented and does a lot of good for charity just is an idiot sometimes as well.

Tony does things that turn me against him at times but who doesn't. I respect his driving ability, his philanthropy, and the way he speaks out. He reminds me of what racers use to be. He's quick tempered in a sport where that's not nice anymore. Oh well, he's the only driver, presently driving, that reminds me of what it use to be like.

i even agree with some who are not Tony fans... being generous does not make you a hero..just a good person... being "ripped" doesnt necessarily make you appealing. (I think Elliot Sadler is the hottest looking driver in NASCAR... JJ Yelees smile melts the heart... Carl does NOTHING for me) ohhhh and Tony has never had trouble getting in his car and bringing it from the back to the front!)but i am too old to think of drivers as sex objects! i am only interested in their driving abilities. (if you believe that , i can sell you a slurpee during a blizzard in Siberia!) rofllllll
Tony is about the most passionate driver in racing... he can race ANYTHING, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE! i hate violence and i get disappointed when Tony loses his temper BUT... i do understand... (hey Oval... your post sounded pretty hostile... i bet you can get pretty angry too) ;-)
i dont watch racing to wait for fights etc... i watch it to see how a driver handles the driving..TONY is a true down to earth REAL racer....NASCAR is going downhill fast...i used to watch every second of a NASCAR race. now i realize I can do alot in 5 hours of a Sunday, and still see the last 10 laps, and pretty much know how the race went....
ok .... you guys know i can't let a TONY post go by... I tried for a couple days but here i am defending a champion racer who really needs no defending...
