add a beautiful sunset and off we go. Made trip back to CCS and the racing was well worth the price of admission. Sportsman 50 was a very good race as the #13 Williamson, #03 Gorham, #56 Morris took the promoters challenge and moved to the rear of the 15 car field for a shot at the $500 bonus if they won. All three made a great try at the bonus. #03 went out on the hook during lap 4 caution but was able to return without loosing a lap only to leave race on lap 29. #56 was in and out of pits and retired on lap #7. Meanwhile the story of the night was developing as #13 Williamson, started last, moved to 3rd on lap 7, then 2nd on lap #11, then tangled with the leader #00 Shawn Harper & went to pits only to come back out and start in the rear once again. AW then drove one heck of a race moving to 5th on lap 29, then to 2nd on lap 36. Caution on lap 45 almost made the bonus possible. AW drove a great, clean race and although he had several chances to dump the #157 Rendell, he settled for a very close second. The nose of his car really showed the battle scars of the night. Great race and congrats to #157 Rendell on the win, #13 Williamson in 2nd and #71 Blevins in third. Quite a show and very well appreciated by the fans. 10 cautions in the race.

Kudos to all the other divisions as they all put on some really good racing. Blake Rose led the first 12 laps of the non-wing sprints and held off #18 Shane Butler until then. After #18 took the lead, he was off to victory in the 30 lapper.. Rose finished fourth, Herb Neuman #81 and Garrett Green put on some great racing for second place with Neumann winning the battle. Green was 3rd. So much to say but it will have to wait as I want to say thanks to Gary and his staff for a super night of racing. I would have bet the house they wouldn't have been able to complete this program with the Friday night and Saturday night schedule combined for this racing night. Started at 6 over at 10:35. (14 features) Way to go guys. The Rib platter for $8.00 bucks looked really good. Although I didn't partake in the rib eating, I did see plenty of them being sold and from all reports they were goooood !!!!! Every time I attend this track I do see improvements for the fans. Keep up the good work and I'll see you next time !!! Visit their website for a look at all the finishes for the night. Good, solid night in all divisions....

Denman's reviews are second to none. Always excellent and full of the details that make you SEE his review in your mind. KARNAC or Speed51 should hire him to do reviews. He is as good or better than any of their writers and offers a true fan's perspective that none of them give.
Denman, are you coming to the Gov. Cup BBQ? I'd love to share a SUDS with you. You are an asset to local racing!
