Well, DeSoto rained out...East bay rained out...don't see anything yet about Auburndale or Inverness called on account of rain; maybe those fans that *did* get rained out will head to St. Pete...
That was one of the best races I've seen in a while! Jesse Dutilly picked up a fan in me tonight. He raced a hell of a race, didn't drive over anyone and fought hard and clean for every position he picked up. That last yellow was unfortunate.
However, I feel like every fans out here got screwed out of what could have been a better race by Stephen Nasse. Taking out 4 of the top 5 cars with 30 laps to go was just plain dumb.
Jesse Dutilly drove his rear end off, I hate that he came up a little bit short. As far as Nasse goes I don't have any words to describe it. He took the race away from several good cars including his own. He drove Webster dirty all night and finally takes the whole bunch out. Daniel Webster is one of the cleanest driver's out there and it sucks to lose it that way. Nasse should be ashamed for driving like that especially in this race honoring his uncle. He has the best equipment and is too good of a driver for that. He certainly didn't like it when Van Dorn knocked him out of the race during the Governor's Cup. Hats off to Jesse Dutilly he gained a lot of fans tonight.
Jesse Dutilly is a long time racer at Desoto and a crowd favorite. He almost pulled off the bonus money. Good race.
I'm glad the rain held off and they got the show in. It was worth the drive and it was for a good cause.
