It was a great show just can not beleive some of the comments that were made about the show and how much back tracking he did on his rule change.

All along I thought that asphalt racing was dying!! Rex has single handlely helped out asphalt racing in the state of Florida!!! Atleast all of them except for his track!.........This guy could have a compass 10 feet across and he would still be lost!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe some day he will figure out that to him, it is a business, to every one else, it's a hobby........DUMBAZZ......Sorry. just had to say that!!!!!

wah wah wah...(hope i spelled that right...) well i am in shock. Rex even picked on me and I don't think i have ever talked bad about anyone including him. I do not know the man so i cant say anything. do i think he made a mistake last week. yes...but guess what? its his track and he can do what he wants. the drivers will make their own decisions and like it or not...thats the way it is...

i AM part of Inside Florida Racing!!!! I work my ass off every week lining up guests and putting the show together. the talk show is guided by Rob and CeCe and they do a great job...BUT...when they get to the studio, the guests are already lined up for them. i think they do a wonderful job interviewing. i am not good at that because i have a hard time dealing with politics. i always see the cup half full and i always see sunshine peeking behind the clouds. i guess someone needs to be more agressive when negative things come up.. not my forte...lol

I promote the positive side of racing every single day Rex !!!! the only thing i said in reference to you is that i wanted to give you a chance to tell your side of the incident. well you sure did do that !

How dare you say that we don't mean anything to the racing community!!! All we do is promote racing and we make sure the drivers, fans, and track owners are fully informed about all issues. Just because we have a guest on with an issue does NOT mean we are taking that persons side. we are simply giving them a chance to use our air time and state their business.

OK... now hear this.... Rex said something about me being on Karnac and starting trouble about things i know nothing about... please someone show me where i wrote anything about AUBURNDALE or REX GUY in a bad way...

Rex... i hate to tell you this but KARNAC is ours. we have some guidelines but we can pretty much say what we want. MOST of the people on the board are hard core race fans who LOVE racing. if they say something negative, they mean well. some things ARE wrong and at times an outsider can see more clearly. SO WHAT? its just a damn message board. no need to insult us!!! WE SUPPORT YOU !!!!!!! it is our money and the drivers money you pay your bills with.

You dont need media... well the whole world would be in trouble if they followed your advice. media sucks at times but they DO let us know whats going on...otherwise we would be in the dark about everything!

Rex... i know you are angry .... all you had to do was come on the show and say you were not sure if you made a correct decision and let us know it wasnt going to happen again because you wrote new rules that would be the same for everyone. it would have been over. instead a week later you chose to come on and attack just about everyone in racing! i cant speak for them but i can speak for me. they gave me the title "SUPERFAN WICKS" because i devote every single day of my life for at least an hour or more to racing. There is not a single racer i can honestly say i dislike. in fact i absolutely adore our drivers. they entertain me every week...they ALWAYS treat me with respect and hug me even when they arent in the mood..(i know these things lol) sometimes there are things about a driver i dont like but the same goes for my own kids... yet i love them more than anything.! i have been to several tracks in florida and other places and have NEVER said one single negative thing! i will say this...in my opinion it is not in the best interest of any track to turn away drivers!!! Dickie Anderson, Billy Bigley, Patrick Williams and many others have said this time and time again... you dont like hearing it Rex, but it is true.

I am writing this on the board so nothing i say can be misunderstood!!! nothing can be changed ... by the way... how did Wayne tell you his phone didnt work? smoke signals? we could have called him at any number. I THINK... just me... that he was told not to go on the show! its too bad. I asked Wayne to be on the show because he was allowed to race CCMP and then Auburndale! he was supposed to be on your side!!!!!!!! he was not asked to go against you!!! NO ONE WAS... we just wanted to know the truth.

well i guess we did get the truth from you... you dont need media, you hate message boards, you have full stands with over 1300 people in them, you will make the rules and dont care what anyone thinks of them because we dont know anything! actually Rex... some of us are pretty intelligent. some of us run very successful businesses! thats what a race track is. So we do know something about the operations of a successful business!

Rex, in all honesty, i hope this all blows over and AUburndale and every single other track in florida stop fighting each other. you dont have to have tea parties but find a way to support this sport!!! that in turn will support your track!!! we all have to survive!!! Racing is teetering on the edge just like the dinosaurs... especially short track racing... good luck to you Rex ... i do want you to prove me wrong and be a track everyone wants to go to. i want your stands to be full and i want the fans and drivers to be happy...that is the truth. I WANT THAT FOR EVERY TRACK!

oz, You do not even have to defend yourself against a promoter like this. Promoters are still in the mindset that racers need them more than they need racers. Well the track is a business and the racer is as much a customer as the fans in the stands. Turn on your drivers and they will find better things to do with their time and money.

Wow OOZE, I don't know how you got my name in this thing(even though it's butchered spelling).
Bottom line is this....The track is like a stage and the drivers are the show and the actors. You piss off the actors and they take their show to another stage......and there are plenty of stages out there to welcome the actors.

Oval44. Please don't through all the promotors into one pot. There many that work very hard every day as a business. And yes sometimes we make dumb mistakes. But, we are only human too. I for one work my tail off and the racers are always the reason. Without the racers we would only have expensive concret and asphalt. I am proud of the sucess that are racers get when they are show. The fans want to see good racing with good car counts. You only get it when you respect the racers. I can't wait to skake your hand when you can get to CCMP!!!!

Thank you everyone for listening to IFR last night and every Monday night. I appreciate your comments and loyalty.

It was very hard for me to keep my mouth shut for so long last night with Rex but I was afraid that something very unlady like might slip out. He completely took me by surprise. An attack on air was the last thing I was expecting.

It wouldn't bother me so much if this was a paying gig but I go and do the show out of love for the sport, the fans and the drivers. It's people like Rex that make me reconsider what I'm doing with my Saturday & Monday nights.

Don't even think that way. If we all backed down when things get tough that will be the straw that broke the racers back. None of us get paid in money but there are benefits .... we all give it everything we have... You and Rob work well together on the show and you give the fans and the drivers what they expect... "HONESTY"... Rex is one of many. you take care of many..
you are allowed to get angry. especially when someone makes you feel like you are wasting your time. you are NOT wasting your time!Keep up the good work and stay focused on the good you do...
when you first came to CCMP you didnt know anyone or much about racing. Every weekend you walk around the track and meet drivers, fans, and staff... you learn more every week. you have also started going to other tracks to meet their owners and staff. in the short time you have been involved in reporting racing news I think you have come a long way. i personally was happy to hear you stick to your guns and defend yourself and all the people who work hard for this sport.
Besides if you quit... Hollinger will not be happy!!! he loves your voice...lol Hang in there girl!

OK, I just listened to the show and here's my analysis.

Part 1 is a question.

Rob, am i good or am i an idiot?

Part 2 is what i thought of the last 30 min of the show.

Rob had already tried, convicted and condemned Rex before he ever got on the phone.

Rex had to prove he was (the man) and not give a reason behind his call that particular night.

Then that UGLY, UGLY word combination came out of Rex.........."owner-promoter". this has been a downward spiral all over the country when track owners won't "pay" a promoter that KNOWS marketing. Promoters of old also did NOT make calls on race night but were there as part of the activites because that is the guy or gal that went out and got the sponsors for the big purse, point fund etc. Which brings the cars which bring the fans.

It's a 2 way street of tracks and drivers simple because one will not exist without the other.

The packed house is the profit for the owner.

The rest of the show was great with the interviews.

I wish Dick Anderson and Gary Balough were still racing against each other, but, i can't have everything.


To quote Dick Anderson, " if guys brought more cars late from other tracks in time to race i'd hug them'.

Damn skippy.....get as many as you can!!!!!!!!

Way to go Carol

Way to stand up for your self Carol, as I was listening to the show and he brought up your name I could not even beleive he said that. You of all people support of of the tracks and drivers. I can not think of one driver I have talked to that did not know and love you. I appreciate everything you do for the sport and keep up your hard work. In my opinion it was not a smart move to call out one of the most liked people by all the drivers when you allready have drivers upset with your tack.

Keep putting together great shows for us on monday's Carol and we will have to get you on our friday show agian soon the last one was a blast.
