I'm wondering how good the racing is going to be at Auburndale when the biggest promotion they have is the name of the tech inspector.
Not for nothing, but the vast majority of casual race fans don't know who the " renowned " Brooks is. Nor do they care.
You'd draw a lot more fans with a rundown of who's planning to compete in the Kia Chevy 100.

I agree with Matt. What racing fan cares about Ricky Brooks? I think they they are more intrested in seeing the racers themselves. Not the "tech man" or the "race director" and so on.
But good luck with your show this Saturday night anyway.

        The comments are true.

In theory, all tracks should provide accurate tech.

However, I believe this site is primarily for the racers and if they find it important, it is important.

On the other hand, "fairness" and consistency of track calls, including not automatically putting the "hitter" along with the "hit-ee" in the back, or worse yet, the hit-ee back up front and the hitter in the back.

Oh, it seems virtuous, but it makes for a boring, "marbles in a pan" event--and we do care about that.

Quick clean up is important too, but above all, don't jack around forever and change your mind, it gives the appearance of being...weak.

            Band-aid

I myself will stay away from a-dale for the same reason Ricky Brooks is there in the first place. "total mismanagement by the owners" Great track, great location, poor management!!!! Bringing Brooks in, is just putting a Band-Aid on a much bigger problem. Too many years of favoritism towards the track owners son. Vince Patola

I will wait and watch Ricky Brooks at the end of the year at the Snowball. As the above states, as long as the current ownership is there, I'm not biting.

Yep....the leaks are too bad @ the Aub...no thumb is big enough to save the dike...damage control is a waste....the past tells it all......crappy mgt. already put too many BIG bullets in that track.....its not going down...its already down AND out.....Last years calls speak volums for anyone into real racing.... p.s. don't buy any of those much needed boards for the stands....its too late for that and it won't help selling the place....OSF
