With all the other stick and ball sports getting million dollar stadiums I'm very happy to see some of my tax money going back to something I love and support for a change! I know not all the other counties are as receptive and appreciative of their race tracks as Escambia, but I wonder how many have even tried?

What an uplifting article for our sport. While Daytona and other major speedways get tax breaks and other assistance from state and local governments it is quite rare to see it at the local level. NSS/Volusia certainly provide more local revenue than the Snowball yet they get no assistance. Many tracks are located on county owned fairground land etc. Government unlike the private sector has no concept of spending money to make money. They are content to simply make it disappear.
