  • Does anyone have decency, respect for others etc. anymore?

This is not a one time complaint but here goes.I was at Sandusky Speedway in Ohio last night for fan appreciation night. There was a group of people who felt the need to stand up directly in the sight line of us and some other people the entire night. Now first off two young girls (around 13 years old or so I'd say) in the group didn't see the need to stand for the National Anthem but felt the need along with the rest of the group to stand the rest of the evening.A few of the races they didn't even pay attention to they just stood in our way, backs to the track and socialized.Hey I like the back of your shirt but not that damn much.I repeatedly yelled for them to sit down to no avail, and then the guy a row below me went down asked them to sit, which they did for all of one heat race before standing for the duration of the night. He went back down to the people before the start of the Sprint feature to ask yhem once again and this time I could tell an argument was about to start, but this time they did(for the most part except for one woman)take a seat. Now this isn't the first time I've encountered this problem nor I'm sure will it be the last so I am suggesting this relatively easy fix to track promoters everywhere. After you have sold your tickets for the night take the people you have looking in my girls purse to make sure we didn't sneak beer, moonshine or an easy bake oven into the track and have them walk in front of the stands and tell your patrons that if they want to stand and b.s.to do it in the track bar or concession area or else find a seat or be told to leave.I PAID JUST AS MUCH AS THEM TO BE THERE.

The in-breds you speak of have no care of others... they are self-centered POS's.... to request they sit so you can see is like pissin in the wind.... your best bet is to find another seat (and your blood pressure won't go off the chart)... and those that don't stand for the National Anthem are just low life trash and are just happy to be out of the trailer park for the evening.... (I had a problem with those that refused to honor our country until I realized we live in a country of freedom.... freedom to pay honor "Or" freedom to "NOT" show honor.... I quit yelling at people that don't stand once I realized the above... life is now much better....but God help them if they need my assistance in any way during the event... OSF
Thank a Police Officer for what they do........... OSF:

Definitely a northern problem. Down here we have LOTS of room to move to, to get away from clowns. At OSW, everyone gets their own section of grandstand.

Your girl has moonshine, beer, and an ez bake in her purse? She sounds like a hoot, can you ask her to pm me? I said I would never get married again but I may reconsider.

I completely agree with all the comments regarding these type of people. They are there to visit and have no interest in the race or the people other than their group. Crazier than that I forewarn you about Talledega Speedway, the green flag drops they stand and they only sit down during the caution periods. That track could legitimately claim standing room only. To say the least they are some of the most passionate race fans I have ever been around.

There wasn't enough room for the moonshine

Unfortunately, respect for one another in all aspects of life seems to be on the decline.

Still...life, per se, ain't a race, it is a test for each of us.

                Respect is a good thing.

                  I just hate to say

It seems more and more I see more of it in my old home state every time I come back. Not to say it doesn't happen in Florida though.
