  • Kyle Larson

Another brilliant run by this young gun. Third place on a track requiring driver talent rather than aerodynamics. With all due respects to his current owner and team members I think if he had a Hendrick car he might already be a winner. Rather than lament on what might have been I have every intention to pull for him to pull off a win this year as he clearly has the talent and he and his team seem to get better each week and will be racing several tracks for the second time as the season goes on. He has certainly been a breath of fresh air in a series that seems complacent to provide us TV boredom on a weekly basis.

It might actually be unfair if he were with one of the power teams!

His comment today about the ganassi cars being faster this year was funny, i was thinking yea now that you are wheeling them!

That restart where he held off Busch on old tires was bad ass.

Not too often that the Real Deal comes along. He has more natural talent than anyone since AJ Foyt.
No offence to fans of any other hero, but this kid learns something every lap he runs.
Just wait until he goes back to some of these places he was just running as a pure Rookie.

Spot on comparing him to Foyt. His versatility on all surfaces, track sizes and type car is amazing. This certainly places him in the same league as Mario and AJ. There may be another one coming along, keep an eye on Rico Abreau. Iwas pleased with Kyles run with Little E racing and rubbing and showing mutual respect.

          Agree re: Kyle Larson.

I was sayin' it way back, cool that he is proving it weekly.

Only thing, he does not seem to run dead at the bottom of the track in the turns most of the time. Maybe due to instinctively "searching for the cushion" as he did on dirt?

I know that the car may not work as well down there, and Kyle knows better than I for sure.

Generally the higher the line the easier it is to keep up rpms and momentum. The down side of course you open your self up to being rooted out of line.

              EG--Correct.

BUT, when you see a really dominant car (typically Tony on a good day) it is dead on the bottom and just drives under the other cars.

Presumably their cars "work" better up there also.

Mentioned it because as good as he is, am kind of suprised that Larson is not on the bottom more often.

Could be a Ganassi (with Felix Sabates ) setup thing...

Agreed on Rico Abreu. The little guy is kicking ass from coast to coast.
His west coast Sprint team is owned by the same people that had Larson behind the wheel of their cars.
