Ha, its all in good fun. I'm happy to see his interest level rise so much. That night at East Bay with sprints and late models might be a turning point for my youngest.

@OSF I heard a lot about that ride along on the way home! I'm sure we'll be back for that.

@RDV We were heading to the pits, but that seemed like an exceptionally hot afternoon. Given the choice between wandering in the sun or relaxing in the shade, we took the easy route. It must have been very hard on the drivers; bet it was 100 degrees. Glad to see your daughter back behind the wheel. I suspect we are a few years away from a mini sprint too.

@Wildchild My son was SO HAPPY when you let him drop the green the other night. Thanks a million!

Rex, you want to get him back on the sprint track, take him to a USAC wingless sprint show. There is nothing that can compare to them.

"Take him to a mile and a half NASCAR race, make him watch the whole thing... I can assure you he will never again want to see a race car with fenders."--EG

"after you take him to the nascar race you can take him to an indy race and he'll never want to see open wheel racing either."--Altered

I would suggest it is mostly the length of the track.

It's good to be the short track fan!
