  • Pro-Truck Drivers - a couple tests being done at Citrus ! so you know !

Pro-Truck Drivers we will once again be conducting a couple tests at the Citrus County race. The 74 will be running again with the 602 /4bbl with a bit different weight as we try to see what will work. We will again back him out of the results and it will not affect series members points. We also have a truck coming with a 4 speed, 75 lbs is added - must weigh 2975 I will watch it etc and again he will be backed out of the finish for points. Please again know we are trying to look at several things for the future and do it right with testing in actual race mode so we can make the best decisions for the future. We appreciate your cooperation in this ! Don't forget we will be having a meeting at this event, to talk about things that are being worked on, and get some input from you all on a few things as well. Come race with us, lets have a great event and talk about an exciting future for truck racing ! Race day schedule will be out Monday the 23rd so look for it ! Thanks for all your support, Joey and I appreciate it !

I am looking into getting a truck and the main reason was because the rules were the same through out the state. I sure hope the rules don't start changing like the sportsman class. This makes me question getting a truck just sayin.

Rick great move testing the 602 crate motor if you decide to go this route make sure sealed motor only and if you find someone messing with the seals or catch them cheating dont mess with them throw them out of the truck class no slaps on the hand no second chances I will bet over time you will have a big truck class.

Bill we know about the rules, the rules you see right now at the tracks are the rules we worked hard on at the end of 2011 and in 2012. The issue is the automatic transmissions are getting out of hand to get built and repaired, so we are testing the manuals. Also the future of the motors etc. needs to figured out. Pensacola and Mobile area trucks run the 602 with a 4 bbl and with the charity race I do in december there are some that want to come and run so we are testing that and to see if there is a future for getting back to a real crate with a series having motor or motors to swap out etc. to police it better. These are all things we are simply testing. We care about the trucks and we will only do changes with the cooperation of all going the same rules and with there being a proper time, and plan to do it. If you talk to anyone that knows me I do not make hasty fast decisions, but do it to try to keep costs down and make is easiest for all. Do not be scared of a truck….the future is going to be bright with all we are working on ! Thanks
