I went to Desoto to see Mickey K., Joe Boyd, Jeff and Dean along with all the old racers that touched my life. After my illness I did not know if I could every be strong enough to go again. As soon as I turned off 64 my memory jumped into high gear. All of the staff that I saw were so nice and glad to see that I was doing so well. The smell and sound brought back the answer of why I loved this sport. Even with the rain, the Track hung in there to give us a show. I can tell you each and every race had passing and re-passing and was worth every dime we spent. Thanks to everyone that keep this sport alive. If you haven't been lately, go and you see what I saw: the PASSION of our sport. Please support your short tracks! The sport needs all of us to pitch in. Again, THANKS to the family of racers that remain such an important part of my life. It's GREAT to be back.
