...This email is to inform you that at this time and barring any unforeseen testing problems throughout this week, the Eagle Jet/Phase 1 Motorsports SLM team is planning on competing in your 100 lap race on Saturday June 14th. Our driver will be 2013 NASCAR Nationwide series standout, Johanna Long. On behalf of Phase 1 Motorsports, Eagle Jet International and Johanna Long, we all look forward to meeting you, your staff and of course the Citrus County Speedway fans! See you Saturday!

I am going out on a limb here and saying that I would bet that there is no appearance money. Eagle Jet Int'l is own by Rick Gabor who sponsors the Top Gun Sprint Car Series here in Florida.

There you go again Albee....running off at the keyboard with no facts or knowledge of the situation .....and what if they are paying her to come......is that not track promotion? Does that not possibly bring more fans and competitors to his track?

I, for one, have no appearance fees... my appearance scares most folks!

I also tell people I don't smoke, but I do occasionally burst into flame...

The guy puts out a respectful & informative release of the teams plans for the weekend... and everyone cries 'scandal'.

Besides, even if there is some kind of appearance money (though I'm willing to bet there is NO deal here), it's been happening since the start of racing history. Get the 'big name invader' to your track, and promote the HELL out of the "Gunslinger vs The Local Stars" angle. It has been putting asses in seats for well over 100 years.

This is neither NEW, nor FISHY. Just be happy that Johanna will showcase her talents at this track, when I'm sure they had their pick of a dozen tracks to attend.
