What started off as a slow evening moved quickly into a pretty good night of racing. 15 Sportsman put on a very good race with Daniel Webster in the Z1 taking the victory after an on track incident between the #13 Williamson and the #56 Morris. Seemed from the stands Williamson didn't care for Morris passing him for the lead on lap 21 and plowed him into the third turn wall. #13 Williamson could not continue and was towed off while the #56 was running but dq'd by track officials. Morris showed his displeasure as when he drove past the start-finish line he gave the one finger salute to the flagman. #21 Webster became the leader and drove onto victory. Andy Nichols 2nd and Jay Whitfoth 3rd. Mike Bresnahan had worked his way through the field in the #55 twice and was 3rd when he pulled his car into the pits with about 6 laps to go. 4th was Mobley followed by Storer, Brown, Malverty. Blevins, Posavec, and Smith rounding out the top ten. LJ Grimm started from the poll and held off a mid race charge by #10 Travis Roland to win the Modified 50 lapper with a field of 12. Richie Smith in the #42 was third. Mini Stocks had 10 starters with Richard Kuhn taking the win. This race had 6 lead changes among 5 drivers in the 50 laps. Looked like a Jason Terry victory when on lap 37 his car lost power and he headed into the infield ending his night.

Citrus - 5-17 continued
Sorry ran out of room. Mike Wilson in the #8 Street Stock took the victory over #48 Dora Thorne with Cameron Ray finishing 3rd. Ray also had a modified on hand as well for the evening's event. Pro Hornets went to #99 Michael Hart although #98 Marvin Armstrong put on one heck of a race. Rookie Hornet went to Joe Marsicek. Note: During the Street Stock heat the #6 of Phillip Robinson blew an engine and caught fire coming out of three. Although the fire had pretty much extinguished itself as he stopped on the front stretch the track crew was right on the scene in a matter of seconds. The quickest response time I have seen at a track in a long time. Great work CCS staff. Also the #1 modified of Jamie Castleberry (first name ?) receives my vote as the best looking car of the night. The car seemed to glow as it went done the back stretch. Good solid night of racing which will make me return to the CCS. Feature meal of the night, Sausage sub on a tasty roll, with fries and a drink for only $7.00. Very good. Announcer Berti also gave Karnac a few mentions. Great job CCS. See ya next time.
