Willard Smith of the Smith racing family from Gibsonton passed away last night. I just spoke with his son, Robert. Robert said Willard was 87.
They have not made funeral plans yet but Robert said to go ahead and post here on KARNAC that his Dad has passed away so that everyone will know.
I've known the Smith family for decades and helped pit-crew on Robert's sprint cars. I have many great memories of Willard and all of the Smith family.Condolences to Mrs. Smith, sons David and Robert, daughters Linda and Darlene and their families.
