Rex one question why did you call all of us Promotors to a meeting in Nov to Save the FUPS Series and take to us all about staying of each other Schedule??? Your not even listening to your our words sir???

Here we go again you called the meeting and dont even live up to your own words, This is the fith race this year you have place a race on top of Citrus Race Schedule. What is your problem Rex??? Citrus has had a 40 lap OWM race on May 17th since Dec 2013 on our 2014 race Schedule when it come out.

Are you scared to go up against Showtime Schedule??? I have a couple of time and have won the battle when he has put a race on top of Citrus at last min, Which is not good for the drivers or the fans for any track to have to do this .

Everyone but OSW races on Saturday...........there will always be a race on top of someone else.
Normalcy is a myth. what is perfectly normal for the Cheetah, Becomes absolute chaos for the Antelope.

I agree there will alway be races on top of each other do the the number of tracks in Florida.

My point is this if three track talk and so we need to work together and and we each set race date staying off each other races dates in back December and sent our schedule all out in Janurary doing so> Why are we changing date to be on top of the track that we are to be working with 5 times since then just a question ??????

Maybe I am missing somthing but as a business man for many years I would say somebody word is not to good JUST MY THOUGHTS It all cool just stating my opintion, Welcome to Florida Short track racing.

It has nothing to do with 'the amount of tracks in Florida'..... it has EVERYTHING to do with everyone thinking that Saturday is the only night a race track can run.

There are probably 5 times the amount of racetracks in NY, and you NEVER hear them bitch about this kind of crap. They look far enough forward to:

                A) Have a Pre-arranged rain date in case the original doesn't work out
                B) have enough of an open mind to run a different night of the week if need be.
                C) Respect each other enough to realize that cooperation among the tracks will make both stronger. Here, they want to wipe each other off the map.

The Florida promoter mentality that Saturday night is the only night to be able to run a race track is ridiculous. Take a look at racing up in New England. Thompson International Speedway (Thompson, CT) races on Thursdays, Stafford Motor Speedway (Stafford Springs, CT) on Fridays, Monadnock Speedway (Winchester, NH) and Waterford Speedbowl (Waterford, CT) run on Saturdays with the tracks being far enough apart that there are no problems. Thompson runs big races on Sundays on occasion. In many cases it's the same drivers racing at these tracks. These tracks make it work and seem to all do well working together. Everyone is happy. Why can't Florida tracks do likewise?

Could it be the common denominator that each of the tracks I've mentioned has is each is a NASCAR sanctioned track? NASCAR polices their sanctioned tracks to make sure there are no conflicts. Maybe the answer lies in all Florida asphalt tracks going NASCAR then they'd be forced to work together and not be at each others throats. The amount of animosity between Florida track promoters is sickening. They seem to have an ongoing battle with each other attempting to put each other out of business while determined to race on Saturdays. That mentality is what is killing Florida asphalt racing. The end result is everyone suffers: promoters, racers, and fans.
