    I love the Auburndale track.

    I love modifieds.

But Auburndale is a one groove track and if you hit the guy and he happens to spin out, he returns to his spot and you go to the back.

So, the show is virtually assured to be follow the leader, marbles in a pan deal.

    Am hoping something changes.

Am hoping to see positive feedback here.

A one groove track? Not necessarily. I raced there this year in a sprint, and we could pass. I also ran there a handful of times in mod mini stocks, and we could run door to door for several laps. Yes, most classes can pass there, I've seen it often.

I like Auburndale as a spectator and as a driver. It is a fact that there is one "fast way" around, but all tracks are that way. A good driver will find a way to make it work. It is also true that two evenly matched cars will have a hard time passing, but again, that is the case everywhere.

If it looks like an interesting race, then go out and have a good time. Who knows what other surprises will come your way: trailer park princesses having a hair pulling fight in the stands, a pit clearing riot, or maybe just a good night at the races?

        Take that Mr. OSF.

          Boneman,

Perhaps. But the line of cars/no passing has occured enough during recent visits to not make it worth the drive.

That was one thing about the FUP race, it kept you interested.

But am guessing they "learned" and it will be back to follow the leader.

Again, hope I am wrong, hope someone reports that I am wrong.

          It's a shame, too. 1 1/2 hours to Auburndale, 2 1/2 to Showtime.

ps--Sprints are kind of an exception, IMO, and am so glad you get to wheel one!

$750 to win Sportsman on Friday night at Orlando SpeedWorld and it's just 35 laps... Looking like we'll have a good field too... It's all about having fun and good racing and you can have both at OSW Friday... Looking forward to seeing a few new faces this week and some I haven't seen in awhile...
