  • New Sportsman Series!!!

With the decline and ultimate demise of the FUPS Sportsman Series I have decided to start a new Series for Sportsman cars. Next Friday night at Orlando Speedworld will be the debut event of the new SUDS Series (Sportsman United Drinking Series). Although lacking major corporate sponsorship, contingencies and a points championship, the SUDS Series will travel to various racetracks around Florida. The mission of the SUDS Series is simple. To race at well run racetracks, have fun with clean yet hard competition and have a beer together afterwards. All Sportsman competitors who attend SUDS events (and race me clean!) are entitled to one beer at my trailer after the conclusion of the nights racing (21 and older of course!). Race 1 of tbe SUDS Series will be next Friday at OSW for $750 to win! Race 2 will be the very next night at New Smyrna with a 25 lapper in support of the TBARA Sprints. Race 3 for SUDS will be at Bronson on June 14th. So come on out with your Sportsman and race, have a good time and share a beer together (no entry fees ever!). Beer distributors my PM me through this board to offer product contingency sponsorship!

I vote for Jerry to be this Series "Non-Driver" Promotion Manager....it's right up his alley....AND he has all kinds of background on sharing a beer or two, three, four or more...FUPS would still be around had they used Jerry in their stable......OSF
Thank a Police Officer for what they do........... OSF:

        Well, the acronym ain't bad...

        You might try "mini-stock-beer-pong".

Everytime there is a change in any position on the track during the mini stock feature (assuming it follows your feature, of course), down the hatch.

What is Florida racing without a little cut-throat competition? In response to the SUDS series, I just heard about another new traveling show for the Sportsman cars, except this one is called the NERONE Sportsmen. Of course that stands for "New, Expensive Racecars, Old Nasty Employees".

Naturally, they will schedule right on top of every SUDS race, and hopefully at a track less than 50 miles away! While SUDS teams are poppin' the top and having fun, the NERONE post party will consist of detailed and extensive tear-downs. Of course there will be plenty of gray areas in the rules (that are published somewhere on "healthcare.gov"), so things will never really be settled.

The engine rules depend on who you are, tire soaking is required, and a few higher RPM rev limiter chips will be auctioned off before each race.

Thank you for your interest in SUDS. It is encouraging that the mere mention of SUDS makes some guys want to come out of retirement.

The SUDS has no officials or techmen but I believe Ocala Camper, Diamond Jim, Frass, Boneman, Announcer Dave and OSF should have SUDS imbibing privilidges (as long as they tell stories).

SUDS welcomes the competition from the NERONE Series. I'm sure it will have the success of its predecessors.

Mini stock beer pong, while good in theory, would require too much concentration from SUDS members and distract from bench racing and story telling (lies).

SUDS members will consume in the pits ONLY at series tracks where permitted and only after ALL racing has concluded for the evening. At tracks where adult beverages are verboten refreshment will be enjoyed in the parking lot. SUDS does not encourage hiding beer in coolers under the workbench behind the compressor in the trailer under any circumstances.

                Please enjoy SUDS responsibly.

I prefer leave of absence, retirement is for old people.

NERONE, "New, Expensive Racecars, Old Nasty Employees". Good one!
