also--the weather channel lists rain @ 80% for Saturday, 0% Sat night.

So...am imagining Yoho's wrecker fleet drying the track...

It rained up till 4:30 about a month ago and Showtime stuck it out and raced.

Sprints were added after Citrus CANCELLED for this weekend.
Also as part of the cuRED racing to benefit the Luekemia and Lymphoma Society event, the young man wanted to see Sprints.

He decided to run the non wing sprints when citrus cancelled, He already was going to run a 12 lap dash for 5 wing cars, if you look at all the classes he's going to run Saturday, providing he beats mother nature, I won't have a problem giving him my money for Latemodels, sprints wing an nonwing, trucks , legends, and the rest of the classes. You can call him crazy,and I'm sure some have called him worse,lol but you can put up or shutup, and when it comes to putting up the money he's got no problem doing it, hopefully we are trying to get the 5 sprint driven by mickey kempgens to the track sat, I was also told that steele will be in the house shaking down his little 500 car down and at this time they already had 15 sprints committed,

I can't answer that luke. Rick Bristol made the call from what I saw, funny thing tho he has a truck race at adale sat night and from what I saw they are just watching the weather at this time, Don't matter to me but I can tell ya this, yoho just put the purse at 1000,00 to win non wing. that's awesome, and Ican tell ya this the 5 OF MICKEY KEMPGENS will be there,it should be a awesome show for 25 laps , just saying. Mickey I hope that collar bone has healed cuz yu r going to have to get up on the wheel to get it done from who I have heard that's going to be there, come ck it out. It should be interresting

As a racer with other things to do in life besides sit at a race track and watch it rain, I appreciate the concept of cancelling early with a forecast like that issued for Citus on Saturday.

Actually Tony C. ...the fact is this

Tony, I merely posted it for Gary, he asked me my thoughts and I think given the weather, the travel for Sprints and others, the possiblity of standing water and trying to give plenty of notice I think it is a good decision. No no one likes to make the call but give him credit for being proactive.
Yoho is trying to take advantage of the cancelation by quickly booking them, which certainly he can do, that is fine, but remember Gary is the one who stepped up and gave the non-winged sprints a place to run every month for a real nice purse.

Joey and I and Rex are waiting longer but that does not really mean anything, if it still gets rained out. The forecast is tough, someone may get lucky and get to race afterall this is Florida.

I'm not a pavement guy, but I may have to check this one out.
