Anybody else having trouble with this site running extremely slow? I'm on a super-fast Mac and it's still taking 2-5 minutes to load pages from time to time... My history website is also powered by KARNAC, and it's running slow too...

No problems here at all. Try deleting old cookies to speed the 'puter back to normal..

I know it's been slow for a while.....

but what I know about spam, bots, SQL and Apache HTTP Server wouldn't fill up half a thimble. Believe it or not, this site takes up an incredible amount of resources and requires almost daily contact with the hosting company in one way or another. I'm not complaining and want to assure you that I'm trying to "learn as I go" and hopefully get all the bugs worked out for a better experience here on the message board and main site. I have no idea what the purpose of spamming is or why people do it.......but for some reason, people enjoy doing it on a constant basis. If only they would use their power for good instead of evil!
