OSW Saturday nite Sprints. Here is the unofficial rundown as I saw at the finish 1- #11 Joey Aguilar, 2nd Shane Butler #18, 3rd #23 Chris Gimmler, 4th #9 Matt Alfonso, 5th #85 Rex Hollinger, 6th - #90 Wendy Mathis, followed by #92 Dave Retzlaff, #14 Corr, #16 Fritz, #41 Ty DeCaire, #58 Newman. Also the #33c had a very severe crash duting warmups. Driver Sanborn (?) AOK !!! Once again there was some yelling & shouting at the finish line from Aguilar torwards Butler and rumor at the track has it that Butler may have ended his running with the club. Two heats and a very good feature event from these guys. Nichols & Fritz came together with one or two laps to go to set up a dash for the win with Butler moving from 3rd to 2nd and The Ace Aguilar holding on for the win. All in all a nice show at OSW witnessed by a very small crowd. I remember when the name TBARA used to pack this place. What happened to the fans ? Maybe the fighting at Amway, the Arena football at UCF, the dirt sprints at Volusia, plus Easter weekend and it may have been a bad night to schedule. The $20.00 admission price, highest of all the tracks I have seen the Sprints run, may have kept fans away as well. Support divisions were entertaining as well. Only issues were an early closing concession stand and a very long night of racing. All in all I'm very glad I attended. See ya soon OSW!!!

Butler is a sore loser and a danger to the sport. Most races ive seen.. he is having a hissy fit. I am gonna buy him a binkie

Thanks Announcer Dave for the posting. Don't know why I skipped over Nichols in 6th as I had him there with Wendy finishing 7th. Oh well, old age I guess. One thing I will say about the TBARA group. Everyone involved with this organization are fan friendly. Great talking with all the drivers, officials, starter, announcer, & t-shirt lady. Very nice night indeed at OSW. The TBARA race was, as usual, top quality and once those go-fasters came on the track I forgot about the car count. Now, I also heard they will be running at Water Melon in Cordele, Ga. on 7/25 & 7/26. Hope I got those dates right as I checked both the TBARA and Water Melon sites and neither lists the TBARA at all. Would very much like to make the trip up there but need to clarify the dates. Hey Katlizzy...as always was great seeing your group again. Also a hello to Bob who I saw for the first time in 2014. Hopefully TBARA will have a write up on the OSW action posted like they usually do. The track itself looked in such better condition then I have seen it in years. The new pavement on the infield portion worked great for the Drifter exhibition, which believe it or not, I enjoyed watching. OSW keeps improving and I just hope Ozzy & the gang keep up the great work.

Definitely want to give props to Donny- he told me that he personally cleaned those bathrooms.... I noticed! So Denman- bring your wife next time. I like her. it was definitely nice to see you as well, Friendly faces are always the best.

As for the yelling after the race- that was a celebration yell... "Yeah Baby #5 5 in a row!" So exciting for that driver. I will say, he is a favorite to us, as he is soo good to Aiden. He makes him feel special, and talks to him like a real person, not just "a pat on the head, yeah yeah" that some adults provide.

Thank you to Bud Howell as well, for once again making that kids day and letting him drop a flag on practice. Oh the memories he will have, and the stories he will tell his kids... Thank you to both him and Joey Aguilar. It doesn't take much to make a kid happy. I have a great photo of it all.
