Saturday night Wingless Sprints at Citrus 3-1-14

21 Wingless Sprints at Citrus put on a pretty decent show this Sat night. Feature went to #5 Mickey Kempgems who drove one heck of a race. Seemed like everytime I saw him he was passing cars. Super fast pace. I believe he started 7th in the feature and took the lead around lap 5 after moving into 2nd on lap 2. Garrett Green #3 also had a heckuva a run as he started about 11th and came on strong for second after a battle with pole sitter #7 Stephen Bradley. The third heat saw the #25 of Steve Heisler flipping and ending up side-straddling the turn two wall after three sprints tried fitting into one spot. Heat winners were, 1st - #7 Stephen Bradley, 2nd heat - #19 Keith Butler, 3rd heat - #21 Jimmy Alvis. Good night for the sprints. Managed to meet several of the drivers during the on-track session at intermission. Nice night at the track. Thanks to Gary & the staff for sticking to their schedule and moving forward with this night. Sprints alone were well worth the price of admission. Planning on being back in April for the next wingless sprint show. Also a thanks for the track having their results posted early today (Sunday)
