    • This is a car that ran at the old Saint Augustine raceway back in the late 60's. It belonged to Chuck Oldham, a late friend of mine. Picture is taken across the street from my dad's Gulf gas station and the old Ford dealership.

Hey, you got that picture too, so do I, I grew up in Spencerport,NY and grad. in high school, and drive my own racecar, on my spare time I can drive by Troyer`s shop which is 3 miles from me where i used to live. Now I`m here in Florida. Troyer Engineering changed it named to Race Cars Engineering by Billy Colton, he took over the business now.

              • Thank you sirs!! That car raced at the track where I saw my first race, when I was 10 years old. The old Saint Augustine Raceway, which closed in the very early '70s.

                  • Charlie Brown was the winner of the first-ever LM race held at Daytona Raceway (now New Smyrna Speedway) on the dirt in 1967... he was driving a 1959 Chevrolet...

                    • I remember reading that. I wonder if it is the same guy? Charlie Brown from here used to drive other cars, as well as Chuck's at Saint Augustine.

                        • Lets kick this thing back in....

Tim Kaeding is a thrid generation racer. From California, the Kaedings have been kicking ass since Grandfather, Howard Kaeding was running Supermods out on the coast. Then, his son Brent Kaeding has taken over. He is the West Coast equivalent of Steve Kinser, in that wherever he shows up, he IS the man to beat. Another brother, Brandon (Bud) Kaeding also is quite a racer himself. Tim is a regualr with the World of Outlaws these days, and wins a feature here and there around the country

                          • A real "Independant"... Norm Benning is a Painting Contractor from Pittsburgh PA. He has been on the ARCA series for a LOT of years now, never seems to have any sponsorship, usually runs in the middle of the pack, and always comes back for more.

He has also made several Nascar starts, and is now also running the Nascar Truck Series

                            • Fascar regular from the late 80's -early 90's... Hal Perry.

Hal and his son Eddie, would show up at both tracks, every week, 52 weeks a year. They ran towards the back, but had a lot of fun. Hal won a few Championships, more through loyalty than outright speed.

From all accounts I've heard, Hal was a real nice guy and loved his racing.
