  • SPATS new Pro Truck Series starts to roll!!!!!

When we started the FASTRUCK Series from the old ARTS Series in 1999 I felt that the Teams (owners, Drivers, and Teams) need to have a say in how the New Series would operate. I meet with Jim Rippey on a meeting about the reasons that FASTRUCK was so strong. Even though it's a different time the concept is the same. After starting the FASTRUCK Series and then FAST Sprints (Non-Winged), FAST Kids, FAST Late Models, FAST Mini Cups and owned CCMP. I learned a lot about the promoting and how to make the best for the Teams. The SPATS is following the concept that made FASTRUCK successful.

Thursday night at Ambassador Racing at:
    14848 Speedway Dr.
Wimauma Florida 33598(south of Riverview and just north of Sun City)

SPARTS is pleased to announce it's Advisory Committee.
The new committee will have their first meeting. The members of the committee and directors (all truck owners and Teams) is quite impressive and committed to the success of the Series:
    Jim Rippey--Director of STATS
    Tommy King --Tech Director
Bobby Owens -- Director of the Driving and Rental Programs
    Myself Bobby Diehl--Marketing Director
    Bodie Boom Committee Member
    Danny Anderson Committee Member
    Ray Garcia Committee Member
    Mark Kemick Committee Member

Anyone that would like to attend are welcomed. Meeting are always open to the Teams or interested party's. All Truck owners, Track Owners, and Sponsors are welcomed. Please contact me and I will add you to the list of those interested.

Meeting called to order. First item on the agenda, changing the name of the series to get a better acronym. All those in favor signify by saying aye, all those opposed. The ayes have it by unanimous vote.
I know a couple of the names on the list of advisors, others I've never heard of. Is the one name supposed to be Bodie Boone of Sarasota?
Good luck with this idea guys, keep us posted.

      Sorry Matt....

I will use the Series full name from now on: Southern Pro Am Truck Series.
Thanks for the support. We will work very hard to put Butts in the Seats at the Tracks. Hopefully we will get a following of Race Fans like the FASTRUCK Series did. Good Truck count, Great Racing, and lots of Sponsors!!!!! Also your right on Bodies spelling. I change it.
Again thanks for being our first supporter.

I already have doubts about a series that doesn't know the names of it's own committee members. But you're willing to give up the dopey series acronym, so i'd be happy to support your series. Don't make me regret it.

Southern Pro Am Truck Series keeps growing.

Thanks for the support Matt. We will not let you down. The Southern Pro Am Truck Series got their first support company. RACE QUIP safety equipment signed up to be part of the new series. Also spoke to several track owners. Even with the short notice one owner is checking his schedule to see if he can make the meeting and put his 2 cents in (questions1. how we plan on putting butts in the seats 2. possibly dates). Things are starting to roll. Remember if anyone wants to be involved (even as Fans) you can be part and help get exposure for the Series in your area. Remember that everyone may know businesses that may want to be involved. I will keep you aware of all the news about the series.
