  • Get to Daytona Early!

If you are coming to the "Duels" tonight, get an early start... I've been told International Speedway Blvd. is already gridlocked... Don't forget if you are coming from Orlando or further west, I-4 is under construction from SR 44 to I-95...

Suggestion: Use CR 415 (Tomoka Farms Rd.) that runs by New Smyrna Speedway... You can take it all the way to ISB... Parking near the track will cost you from $30-$50 but you can stay on Tomoka Farms Rd., take it to LPGA Blvd and head over to lot #7 (owned by the Speedway)... Parking there is free and you are bused to the pedestrian crossover... Bused back after the race... Traffic will be bad no matter where you are parked after the race, but this is the way to save some money... You can hang out in the parking lot afterwards, even take a nap, and head home later...

I doubt getting to/from work will be any fun either. That's just the price you have to pay for one of the best jobs in the world.

We went last year and parked at the FREE lot off LPGA Blvd......it's the best way to go. The buses run continuously and we really didn't have to wait at all. They bring you in on the easement roads that run under the power lines, so there is absolutely no traffic to have to deal with while you're riding in. Our bus driver was hauling a$$; it was really pretty fun. They drop you off at the crossover bridge.....it really is easy, convenient, and best of all, it's FREE!!!

Haven't been in a few years, but the drawback is when you try to get to your car once the race ends, there's a huge line that you have to wait in for 45 minutes to get on a bus and get back to your car

Speaking from many trips to the races at DIS, you can absolutely COUNT ON hanging out in the parking lot afterwards, even taking a nap, and heading home much later. I've been caught in some amazing traffic backups over the years trying to get out of there. We always park at the Volusia Mall, have for years. You have to pay ( unless you're clever ) but it's located right across the street from the track.
