VSP - Thursday Night

Great Show! They really have their feces in a pile. qualifying for both divisions and full heats (6 mods and 3 or sprints) followed by 3 - b-mains and 2 a mains and i was home before midnight. They did do a bunch of track maintenance but except for the one prior to the mod feature i didnt really notice

Track looked great early - very quick. Developed some ruts and holes towards the end that made for some rough riding. Crazy sized pieces of clay were being launched at the beer tent in turn 1.

Great new improvements out there as alluded to by Dave - new turn one stands on the front stretch - reworked the pit pass area. HEATED beer tent right outside of turn one. And my personal favorite - they renumbered the reserved seats, making them wider so an amply sized man size such as myself can fit comfortably next to my neighbor without have to help him eat his popcorn. Now if thy can work on the legroom - i would be in bleacher heaven.

Racing was great - tons of 410 and mod action. No major carnage. Got to rub elbows w the legends of the sport in the walk in pit area. I really wish NSS could come up with something like that.

Off to NSS tonight - great start.

A concise, yet comprehensive summary! I agree with Bubba, and loved their format of running the sprint feature before the 3 "B" main races for the modifieds. Sure I like the modifieds, but I also had to be at work in the morning.

Fan access to the pits...what a great addition to the show! Every track should find a way of making that happen.

Do they have a wheelchair section that family member(s) can sit next to me?

It's been along time since I've been there and love to go some times this year.

Two things i loved about the show - mods came out of pits and started running out of four - no pace laps no lineup nonsense. Every time i see it - i love it. just sends a signal that they have their stuff together. As Boneman said, running the sprint show somewhat in the middle of the program gave people options and if i didnt live so close to the place - i might have had to leave then - and would have still been happy w the show.

Now off to NSS - who i liken to that drunk uncle who is really your favorite uncle but you know he is gonna screw something up that will piss you off but he is your favorite uncle and has the best stories when he isnt passed out.
