They didn't post It because everyone would complain instead of attending. I be the advertisement went out to car clubs and people who do (drifting events). You all realize there is a huge venue in Orlando with drifting courses on it. I bet they got the word.
Normalcy is a myth. what is perfectly normal for the Cheetah, Becomes absolute chaos for the Antelope.
They have been doing drifting for a long time. It's a group that rents the track, not really a promoted spectator event. Usually about 6 or so cars, no concessions, and the grandstands are not open.

It was posted on their website 12 admission to grandstands.
I was out there a few years ago helping with some work at the track while it was going on. the only people that was there was the guys doing the drifting and some of there freinds honestly it was boring And after seeing that I would never go.

doesn't sound much different than last years races.
lets all take a long ride on a short bus.
I quit fishing because no one was standing at the docks handing out money when i got back, why did you quit racing?

Orlando's favorite racetrack, the Central Florida Racing Complex, made an announcement on their drifting Facebook page yesterday that they are closing their doors at the end of the year.
"The rumor about CFRC not operating in 2014 is unfortunately true," according to the Facebook post. "Our last event at CFRC will be December 29th as of right now. I may change the date and time but right now this is the final day."
Also according to the Facebook post, Orlando Speed World will take the CFRC drifting program under its wings. "As of a few days ago, myself and the owners of OSW, Ozzy and Maria Moya, reached a deal to bring our drifting program to OSW as well as help them with a fresh set of eyes on their race track and racing program."
Donald Vivier, who runs CFRC, declined my request for an interview.
CFRC opened its doors in 2009 as the Central Florida Road Course, and as it evolved, it developed into an autocross and drifting course as well as a 1/8th-mile dragstrip. Before long, it was one of the most popular racing facilities in the state of Florida. But when Orange County forced the dragstrip to be shut down in 2012, CFRC's main source of revenue was taken away from them. They tried to keep afloat by continuing to host autocross and drifting events, including sanctioned events by the national drifting series Xtreme Drift Circuit.
But it wasn't enough, and the only full-fledged racing facility to ever form within Orlando's city limits is saying farewell.
Stay tuned, as I'll be covering the final event in December.
The 2014 Formula Drift schedule was released last week at the 2013 SEMA Show and Florida was given the name Florida without an announced track. I’ve spoken with a ton of locals in the drift community today and they helped me all but ruleout Orlando Speedworld and CFRC as viable options for Formula Drift. This leaves in my opinion Daytona International Speedway infield, Sebring, Homestead, and a return to PBIR.
Daytona seems like a too disconnected from real Florida or any big markets and Sebring is flat out in the middle of no where. However, I think they could build some great tracks/courses off Sebring and have quite a Road Atlanta type vibe going for the course. This really leaves Homestead International down in Miami as a new course. We put this track in our 7 Tracks Formula Drift should visit so it probably is going to get our vote. Where will Formula Drift be in 2014 in the sunshine state?
Formula Drift is a big deal. It's not a club, its the real deal. Hope OSW can land some dates. If you've never been to one, check it out. There are factory, tire, and all sorts of sponsored cars at these events. Very expensive cars and very nice looking ladies to look at if you don't like cars.

If they will start 20 of them and run 25 laps I can sell tickets to that race.
It ewould be better than fig8 racing.
Crash a rama could use it for a comerical on tv.
Now that would be a show..

Or wet the track for an enduro, that would separate the men from the boys.
