Car owner Jim Ferlito has owned Supermods at Oswego, dirt mods on the original DIRT of NY circuit, one of the very first ESS Sprint cars when that group formed, and has been a big supporter of Buzzie Reutimann over several decades.

Here is a shot of us together after about 28 years since we'd seen each other last.

Funny that we were in the same pit areas in NY every week for a couple of years.... never met him.

Where DID we meet.... the pit area at East Bay on a pre-Speedweek practice day. I doubt there were 10 people there that day, but Jim & I were 2 of them.

    This guy knows EVERYONE....!

Another car owner, Carl Bates & wife Joyce, found quite a bit of success with this Gary Iulg piloted 88. They once won a Budweiser 200 at Oswego in a late race battle over Richie Evans, the overwhelming favorite to win that particular battle.

In NY in the 60's & 70's, there NO more famous or feared cars than the ones the Turner Brothers campaigned. They could visit a junkyard, and turn out a rocket. With Dutch Hoag behind the wheel, they could win anywhere, and when they'd go to Langhorne, everyone else was running for 2nd.

Don Turner will once again be in the house, but unfortunately, brother Ray passed away about 8 years ago or so.

This is one of the more interesting racecars ever built, and it was by the same Turner Brothers. Here is the way the car looked on Fridays as a Modified....

.... and a shot which was probably taken at an Oswego Reunion (hosted in large part by the above mentioned Jim Ferlito), as a display showing this car that ran in about '76 or so.

There's not much on asphalt in Fla that Jeremy Gerstner hasn't done. His latest career move has been into the Whelen Southern Modified Tour. This photo shows him on the world famous Bowman-Gray 1/4 mile.

He's coming to the Reunion, but I'm hoping he will also be IN the field afterwards for the Richie Evans 100.

Paul Ellis is pulling this beautiful ex-Bob Judkins car all the way from Virginia to participate for the first time. I hope I didn't overstate when I GUARANTEED he'd have a bunch of fun.

George Pavlisko has been IN the minute this idea came about. He comes down every year from SC, contributes both the Fund Raising helmets for the raffle prize, and one BOATLOAD of support for yours truly.

George is one of the PRIME examples of why I do this...... because there are others that GET this.

6 years ago, I knew almost nobody in this listing....

6 years later....... I'm one of THE LUCKIEST racefans on the planet...!

I've been buried at work, or busy with other things lately and haven't been keeping this thread up to date.

But, there have been many new guests that will be there, and just found out about a few more Vintage entries today.

Hopefully I'll find time soon to update.... there's at least another full page of names and pictures coming.
