    Bright House Challenge Series Expands

New Smyrna Beach, Fl January 3, 2014 As the Bright House Challenge Series heads into its 9th year, the Series will grow beyond the walls of New Smyrna Speedway. In 2014, the series will go across the great State of Florida three times to Desoto Speedway beginning with the Icebreaker 100 on February 1st.

Robert Hart, owner of the Series stated “Our partnership with Bright House Networks and their support of the Bright House Challenge Series is one that has grown through the years. Expanding that partnership to include Desoto Speedway is great for the series. We look forward to the racers getting to enjoy both venues and hope that in the future we can expand the Series to even more tracks in the state.”

Bright House Executive John Poage stated “We are excited about the addition of Desoto Speedway to the Bright House Challenge Series in 2014. This move will allow Bright House Network Customers on both sides of the state to enjoy the top Super Late Model Drivers in competitive Series action. “

Jimmy Cope, General Manager of Desoto Speedway looks forward to the series running at Desoto Speedway in 2014. Cope has plans for a very exciting 2014 race season at Desoto Speedway and is thrilled to start it off with the Bright House Challenge Series, Icebreaker 100.

No that is a great idea.
This should bring the east and west coast fans and cars together.
Maybe get a little TV also

Does Brighthouse televise these races? I know several years ago there was a BH station you could watch races on, but haven't seen it in years.

Is there anything thing still airing in the Orlando area? If so, will the same channel covering Desoto?

It only makes sense for a cable TV provider to air the races they directly sponsor....

And isn't that the number 1 thing a potential sponsor wants to hear.... "You're car will be on TV about 10 times this year, in front of 'X' amount of viewers"...?

May be just a rumor, but the reason for the lighting change at NSS was for races to be televised. Don't know for sure, just heard..

              The greatest news.....

Desoto Speedway needed a huge boost and this is a great one. Hopefully it will bring some awesome racers we seldom see in our area... Tim Russell, Dave Rogers, Jay Middleton and many more. I am so excited that we will be working with NSS and counting the minutes until February 1st.
Thank you Jimmy and the staff at DESOTO SPEEDWAY! This is a shot of racing adrenaline... YAHOOOOOOOOOOO! Let the racing begin!!!! Wish you were here Jack Smith !

Jim I think the lights were for TV. They have a K+N race there soon.
                That race is TV.
The future Bright House remains to be seen.If they get some TV it will give the track a shot in the arm that it needs..
                Hope for the best
