The Charity Truckers 100 at Auburndale was a pretty good show. Joey Coulter, starting 3rd, took the lead on Lap 4 from Michael Pilla and led the remainder. Watching Joey wheel the #28 TJ Duke truck was an awesome sight. 25/26 Trucks took the green and race was filled with many cautions during the early going. I thought the best ride of the night was the #16 Jessica Green making her charge from the 9th starting spot to a second place. She took a shot at the lead trying the inside and became loose while holding on to second place. Her night ended on lap 67 when she left for the pits. Had some damage on right front but don't know if that was the reason for the retirement. #41 Steve Darvalics also pulled into the pits while running 3rd at lap 18. Dylan Martin #7 finished 2nd with Pilla finishing 3rd after these two waged a late race battle for second. #65Hadin (sp), #59 Monopoli rounded out the top five. Of course all unofficial. Sportsman cars had a small but mighty field of ten take the green for their main event. After a late race caution, #56 Morris & #Z1 Daniel Webster had a fantastic late race battle with Morris taking the win, Webster 2nd and #29 Mobley 3rd. SE Karts had a DQ at end so don't know the finish, possibly #7 Chisholm with victory. Bomber cars had 16 start and I had to leave with the #10 (windshield said Gorham) in the lead. Great night and nicely done by Rick Bristol and all involved. Great cause which really puts a different perspective on life itself. Thanks Rick & gang, already looking forward to next years event.....

Joey Coulter Truck Race at Auburndale - Nice Night

The truck race had a great turn out for a wonderful cause. As for the race itself it was terrible. If they hadn't started counting caution laps they might still be racing right now. To prove the point Kim Sheffler went from 24th to 10th and never actually passed a truck. Loved the cause just wish people would learn to drive looking a little further than 6 inches in front of the radiator cap. Nobody had anything for Coulter. The 41 may have but it sounded like he broke a rear end.

Nice night of racing at A-dale
The track race, despite all the yellow flags, was still interesting.Joey Coulter got out front and was never headed.Darvallics and Jessica Murphy, along wigh Michaal Pilla were nippin at the back bumper of Coulter.Bruce Bemmett had a solid top 10 in the race(truck is for sale).
I talked to Coulter before the race, and he/s hoping for more NASCAR involvement with more drivers next year.Talked with Chad Chastain, who tore up the #36 truck a few weeks back.He was having trouble with finding the right gearing for the truck.Hopefully him and his brother will compete in this race next year,
Sam Scott in the #14 black truck, had started near the tail, and was running 7th,when his truck blew up his second engine on the weekend.Felt sad for him as he mmade a great effort, and was pic king them off one by one,and was challanging Bennett before his motor let go.
The Sportman race was pretty dame good, although there was only ten cars in the feild.A battle between Webster and Morris were side by side for 3 laps, until Morris finally got the lead for good on the white flag lap.
All in all a good night of racing at A-dale,and I don't say that often.
