    I was checking out the Snow Ball Derby and saw that there wer 51 total cars there for the derby.
    That is not a big car count for the biggest race of the year.
    There were not many cars from around here in the hunt.

        While Don is knocking the car count, he failed to mention that there were several other cars in the pits that wrecked or blew motors in practice. The actual number is/was higher than 51. Pro LM's are close to 60.

        Also, the Trucks, Super Stocks and Bombers had counts close to 30 each. Never did see a rundown on the Mods, so no clue on the car count there.

          yea I saw where they had 65 pre-entries, but only 51 attempted qualifying runs. I agree with you, that is not a whole lot of cars for the biggest SLM race of the year.
          In my opinion when you've got Kyle Busch Racing, Brad Keselowski Racing, Hendrick Driver Development, plus a bunch of other high$$$ teams running now- the average Joe late model guy isn't going to even bother to try against all that.
          I'm curious as to why the Anderson's do not race it anymore- or did I answer my own question already?

            Anderson doesn't even run the Gov. Cup anymore. Actually doesn't race much of anything now that he and the FUPS had their fall out.

              Im not knoking anything just wonderd warethe cars were.
              I rember doing that race and the north south and my first hooters race and having 90 or better cars.
              The big dirt races...are they still haviub over 100 cars ??

              O and Jerry im nocking u not the car count ....smoke that..!! lol

              28 trucks took time trials.
              Rember parts pro trucks with 80 trucks..went to crate engines and the trucks were gone forever.

                they had a good field of mods- must've been a big wreck around lap 22 as a bunch went out then.

                    Now that was funny, you're KILLING ME OSF, I would say he just ran out of talent on lap 22 , just like he did at the ebr race on lap 1, OUCH THAT'S GOING TO HURT

                        DJ Hoelzle was 19th, the top 23 cars qualified fast enough this year to be in the top 5 cars last year.

                        Finishing positions

                        Johnny and LB were involved in the big one.

                        Brandon 7th
                        Doug 9th
                        DJ 13th No radio and lost the nose sheet metal
