Is Jimmy Cope as a part owner-silent partner in the track a conflict of interest? In my opinion yes. What happens if one of the cars he's built or maintains is deemed illegal? How do you find a tech man that would deem a car wrong and knowing he will probably lose his job over it? Because you know just as well I he won't lose a customer over it. It's just a question that I ask especially because we have a modified...

I've known Jimmy for a while. Think you are barking up the wrong tree here. After all these years building and crewing race cars and teams, he KNOWS that any favoritism at a track is a track killer.
His integrety is well known I think.
JMHO of course.
-JIM-RIP Jack Smith and Kim Brown. Many thanks for all you have done for our sport.

I have been friends with Jimmy for 20 years. There is no way he would allow that to happen, ever. I would bet his tech man has total control over the tear downs. If this were the case you would to even have to look at calls on the track as well. Nothing to worry about here.

Jimmy, would not put a car out there that is illegal. He stands behind what he builds. He cannot control what someone may do to one of his chassis or bring out there to the track but knowing him you can bet your behind he will take their money and points.Doug Miller # 53
