    Fts

Mike Chase is still the owner. He has taken on a partner and an advisor in hopes that we can FINALLY make his ship seaworthy!!! He has been thru alot and had to make some very tough decisions. Linda has posted news on FB... Kevin Williams has left the building. Wishing everyone good luck in their new adventures.. I think this is going to be wonderful for the track personnel, the fans, and especially the drivers. Praying for the best!

This is not the news I wanted to hear. I was all set to commit to running my Sportsman for the entire schedule at Full Throttle in 2014, but not anymore. It was Kevin Williams hospitality and graciousness the night I ran there that lead me to decide to compete there as my home track. Well, with turnover and uncertainty, I'm not going to spend the $800+ for the multi disc clutch setup that FTS runs exclusively. I don't understand this move. Kevin seemed to have the respect of the drivers and the car counts were growing and the show was real, real good. It just seemed with a little better promotion the place was on it's way to prosperity. Is it me or does it appear to everyone that every asphalt track in Florida is in upheaval? I left NSS Saturday with a warm fuzzy feeling about the state of short track racing here, but back to reality I guess...

Just wait and see who Mike Chase is going to be working with. I know they have some great ideas. Give them a chance to get everything worked out and see what they have in store before you start dogging them.

Let's guess , Kevin Williams is going to be running Three Palms Speedway. Maybe he can go in the middle of the night and take his bleachers, kitchen equipment and so on from Full Throttle and bring them back where they belong !!!

Let me be clear. In a very tumultuous and sometimes ugly year in Florida Asphalt racing, the experience of my night of racing at Full Throttle in early September was one of the two most promising things that I have seen in the sport this year (along with the awesomeness that was the Governor's Cup at NSS Saturday). The structural improvements, along with the increased car counts, incredible two groove competition and the general impression of a race director (Kevin Williams) that truly cared about his competitors racing experience, had me leaving Full Throttle Speedway that night feeling that I NEEDED to be a track regular competitor there. I came right on this board the next morning and wrote about what a great time I had. Well, when I put up that post around 7 p.m. I wasn't really dogging anyone. Just expressing my displeasure at the sudden shake up and uncertainty surrounding Full Throttle Speedway and Kevin Williams departure. However, since the time of that post I have already received two private messages from two competitors that I have the utmost respect for. These competitors are none too thrilled with the way that they (and others) have been treated at Full Throttle in their dealings with Mike Chase lately. That's all the info I need to know. I wish those that race there the best and maybe things will change when others are brought on board to assist Mr. Chase. I'm just not willing to foolishly disregard the information of racers that I respect and spend my hard earned money and time that I spend to go racing to be treated poorly.

Welcome to Florida Scott..... the state that CAN'T get its shit together, even after my 33 years of being here. Too many Chiefs, NO Indians....

They ALL wanna run on Saturdays (forget any other day, let alone a holiday), and they all wanna keep their cars 'at home'.

Take a look at the late season car-counts at the big year ending races around the northeast right now. Anywhere from 50 to 80...... BECAUSE the rules are the same, the promoters work WITH each other, and they each get a single large piece of the the pizza.

Around here, they don't look at the whole pizza.... they just want a couple slices of pepperoni .....!

It is always about Florida track Owners

People always put Florida racing down but where are all the track owners originally from . Just wondering.

I know the 2 times we run there, i was very happy with how things were run. we have been trying to decide where to run next season full time because i refuse to run the series and Full throttle was one of our three choices. I guess that we will eliminate the track from our decision.

I am not real sure what every one is talking about, I have been out there three or four times, both Kevin and Mike have been very nice. I wish Kevin the best in whatever he gets into, but I believe Full Throttle will remain the same racer freindly track it was? Time will tell.....Vince

Ugh. OK so now a very trusted and reliable source has assured me that Mike Chase WILL NOT be involved in anything on the racing side of things at Full Throttle and that a major announcement will be forthcoming shortly on ownership and who the race director will be at Full Throttle. My question is why would you put up on Facebook that the track is undergoing personnel changes without giving the FULL STORY???? Wait until you can give all the info people! That way there's no negative rumors! I guess we're gonna have to wait and see now and I'll take that as a positive!
