  • Trucks in 2014

Man being new to the Florida short track scene( coming from national competitive sprint karting) I am a bit worried and confused. I recently purchased a pro truck with the intent to run the fups series, being that seemed t be the series to follow that had a common set of rules. We have the truck almost ready to start going and practicing and gain track time before entering races. What my concern is, and only because of reading all the posts is. Will there be a truck class in fups next year? If not where would I rAce it? Wil there be aother traveling series that will have a truck class? We have been karting at a national/ international level for the past ten years and are extremely excited to start his stock car career. I have sold every bit of our karting inventory in order to buy and invest in this car and it would be extremely dishearting if there was no where to actually run with a bunch of other trucks under the same rules or guideline. Can anyone give me some true insite? Ringer by phone , email or post?

There are already 32 truck races scheduled for 2014 between Auburndale, Showtime and Full Throttle. The 2013 rules for Showtime are the same as the FUPS trucks and I doubt they would change them for 2014. I would hope that Auburndale also follows the FUPS rules package. Orlando uses the same rules as FUPS but they have not posted a 2014 schedule. FTS has a slightly different rule package but close enough to be competitive. You will have plenty of places to race.

There may be more to announce soon !

There is something in the works, cant say much yet, but hope to have all the info by November 9th State Championship 100 at Citrus. Citrus if this is not able to come together will do a Super 8 Series for Trucks..... and the dates also are not scheduled against A-Dale, FTS or Showtime.

Hope to be able to get this done..... thanks !
