Attention Gary Laplant and Citrus County Speedway !! I attended the SLM 50 lapper this past saturday night. The racing was good (the battle between Wayne Anderson and Herb Neumann was the highlight of the night) but taking my good old time to get out to my van and leave i checked the clock when i started my van and it was only 8:39 pm!!! Man there was so much of saturday night left I almost felt like I hadnt went anywhere or done anything.Maybe its just because im an old dog used to being at the track all evening but 3 hours if that start to finish?

04, come back this week and you'll enjoy a very different program. The TBARA sprints will be in town! Citrus is an excellent track for our cars: its close, its slippery, but its still big enough to air out those cars build some speed in a hurry. Also, it is centrally located to most of our teams, so with the good weather that is coming, and no big travel issues, we should have another excellent turn-out of cars.
Stop by and say "hi!"

boney,i just missed it
I just left Inverness thursday,my foot started giving me problems again and I was afraid I wouldnt be able to negotiate the stands there this saturday.I have seen the sprinters run many times, both on dirt and asphalt up in Ohio, but never here in Florida but as long as my health issues dont keep me down I will at some point.By the way I love the speedway in Inverness and the town and area as a whole, but its a long run from Ft.Myers, especially for races that dont last any longer than what they did this past saturday.Originally posted by Boneman View Post04, come back this week and you'll enjoy a very different program. I just did that a few weeks ago
I rode up to Gibsonton and took in my first dirt race here in the state of Florida.I have to say even though I only got there in time to see the features run,I didnt leave thinking I hadnt got my moneys worth.Impressive is all I can say.Its a shame more blacktop tracks here arent run the same way.The problem is Im a asphalt baby.my true love lies in the blacktop.Unfortunately more of the blacktop tracks leave me feeling anything BUT entertained at the end of their race program.Originally posted by Bill Barstow View PostThere is no better bang for the buck then a good dirt track...ie...
