Agreed about the cars, but I was really impressed by the amount of long-forgotten racers I hadn't seen in at least 20 years....

Denny Nyari, Ed Howe (or was it Mike Eddy in the 85), Leroy in the 7, I think Malcuit was in the 79, Dennis Langston 73, Robert Hamke 74, Ray Bontrager 12 ......

Plus all the usual suspects from that era... Cope, Pletcher, etc.

And I'm guessing Jimmy McKinley can fill out all the old timers I missed.

Well that just whetted your whistle, I have the 1985 Governors cup running into my editor. I think it is 200 laps at Sunshine Speedway. It'll be about 11/2 hours time it renders and burns. That should satisfy your wedge fetish! I am thinking we had 60 cars that year and not all made the races of course.
