  • $230 to Winner - June 21 - Desoto Champ Kart Series at CCMP

The complete results, and race recap from last night's race at Charlotte County Motorsports Park is now posted on the Desoto Champ Kart Series website at: http://www.desotochampkartseries.com

As always, the series would like to thank Linda, Bobby and all the CCMP track staff for the respect, patience and positive attitude you always give our series participants! Our next race at CCMP is on Saturday night July 19.

Even though the series only had twelve entries last night, due primarily to several schedule conflicts for a few of the series regulars, the series paid out $750 in cold hard cash last night, to the top seven finishers, after the feature. The winner collected $230 in cash, along with two free (right-side) tires from VEGA Tires!

The series would like to extend a special thanks to Victor Peters, of Victor Peters Motorsports in Brooksville, and Jim Hite, owner of Hite Extermination in Tampa, for sponsoring last nights feature event!

Thanks to all of our Sponsors!!:

One of the competitors made an in-kart video of the race Saturday night, and posted it on YouTube. This racer is tied for all-time wins in the series (five), and the reason the camera is mounted rearward is that he is often leading the drafting pack, with only clear track ahead of him. As a result, a few of the racers asked him if he'd mind videoing a race with it pointed rearward, to show the guys pushing him from behind. You can really get a sense of the speed in the Champ Karts, from this video.

    Hope folks enjoy watching it.
