I believe he's refering to the first few posts that he made and some here were pretty rough and sarcastic to him...I don't blame him wanting to avoid arguing with folks that have no idea what it takes to run a race track. (Except in their own mind! )

      Karnac.com has a facebook page

and anyone can post on there. The timeline is up on the front page at www.karnac.com. I made a page for those that don't do FB, but want to read any posts from our page.

        catch fence

the fence that was around the track in the past should not have been called a CATCH FENCE . looked like antenna poles pushed into small holes in turn 1&2

Well Dave irregardless of what you thought of the fence in 1 and 2 at PG I have seen it catch a bunch of cars over the years. Including a 800 HP sprint withe the throttle stuck and it hit it multiple times and tried to climb it till it fell back on the track! A road Warrior launched off some tires and went into the fence pretty hard and it put it right back on the trackQ!

I posted our open practice on here because of requests we have received by some of the drivers who come to our track. They don't do facebook but do come on here and asked if I wouldn't mind posting upcoming events for them. Since we like to keep our drivers happy and it was a simple request I posted the event.

Groundpounder I do appreciate your comments and you are exactly right. I'm not interested arguing or listening to a bunch of sarcastic comments from people who really have no idea of what goes into making a business, in this case a race track, successful when they have nothing invested in it. We are moving forward with the track the way that we believe will make it not only a fun place to race but also to be successful financially so that the track won't continue with the musical merry-go-round that our track has experienced in the past and other tracks are going through right now. If our plan fails then I'll be throwing fuel on the fire for everyone who wants to joke about how we ran the track. It's all part of being a track/business owner.

Crimsncat thank you for the information that you are giving us. Their are a lot of people that get their news on Florida racing here that don't ever reply to anything on here. A few of the guys and gals that I work with at Disney will talk to me about thing on here, and they never respond on here!
Just keep the info coming it is needed. Thank you.

Here is an offer for you.

Now i get on here and read this crap about go carts and street cars?Good luck racing fans of southwest Florida in seeing anything like real racing happening there until at least spring if ever again.
I would be happy to have the bandoleros race at the track if they could get a big enough car count to make it interesting for the fans. Currently they don't seem to have enough of them in Florida to make that happen. Watching the ground hogs might be more interesting than some of the racing I have watched since moving to Florida a few months ago. Here is my offer to you Zerofor...Come to our opening night as my guest and I know you will see racing in Southwest Florida the way it should be. When you come into the track you won't find anything at all like the way it was under Kevin and Mike. Not sure what your aversion to go karts is but if you check the resumes of most of the current Nascar Sprint and Nationwide Series drivers you will find a common denominator between them. Most started racing in the go kart divisions as kids. We are here for the long haul at the track and the kids in the go karts today are my racers 10 years from now in the pro trucks or SLM or even the winged sprints. We also opened the track up to some of the car clubs so that they could bring out their muscle cars and open them up a bit without getting a ticket. Actually if you talked with any of the guys that came you will also find out they had a good time and will come back for not only another street day at the track but for a race or two on a Saturday night. Considering that this was our first event of any sort and it was designed to promote the track for things besides racing I can't understand what your problem is with our holding the event. Since you didn't like these I am sure we will be holding a number of events at the track you will also not be happy about like concerts, carnivals, drifting events, and a thrill show or two over the course of the 2014 season. Racing we will have plenty of but it takes more than racing to keep a track financially sound and operating. If all it took was racing Kevin and Mike would still be running the track either here or Desoto. Maybe you should check us out in person before you become critical about what and how we do things. My offer stands on the tickets. Just email me your name and the tickets will be waiting for you at the ticket booth. Jamie Haase

Not a problem Clay. We are more than happy to post our events in forums for people that are interested in coming out to the track and having a good time. Please stop and say hi the next time you get a chance to come by the track.

It is just my own opinion that neither one should be a regular part of a saturday night race card.(although, the carts can be entertaining at times and groundhogs can be cute or tasty lol)I DO AGREE WITH YOU ON THE POINT OF IT TAKING MORE THAN ONE THING TO KEEP A TRACK SURVIVING IN THESE TIMES.My belief is stock car racing should be kept at the forefront however.Remember Florida already has its Disney parks and Legolands.I have a lot of thoughts and feelings on this matter, too many to go on with here.I WILL accept your offer and will try to send you a private message on here and would love to have an open discussion with you via telephone if possible.THANKS FOR YOUR OFFER AND TIME Eric Bartrum (zerofor)

Something that I should have addressed in your response above was that we do plan on running some Friday nights as well as the usual Saturday night racing. Both the Bandaleros and the Go Karts are perfect fits for what we have in mind for some Friday night action. In the past the promoters of our track not only put stock car racing in the forefront they made it basically their ownly front and it didn't work. It is our belief that in todays economy that a race track can not survive with only racing. Case in point was last Saturday night at Auburndale Speedway. They did some standard racing on the card but the majority of the evening was taken up with a thrill show. Rex packed the place with one of the largest crowds he has ever had. The majority of people there didn't come to watch the Bomber group that raced that night. They were there for the monster truck, demolition derby, chain race, reverse race, etc. I am sure that every promoter in Florida would love to have the problem Rex had Saturday with nowhere to park everyone. I know I look forward to having that at Three Palms but we also have a plan incase that happens. My point here is simply this. Three Palms Speedway is an entertainment venue with a race track built in. We love racing and there will be plenty of racing and auto sports for everyone. We just want everyone to understand that in order for us to keep the gates open there will need to be more than just racing and we hope that people will also come out and support the other events we hold as well.
