From what I can tell, here is who will probably be running in this, The Biggest Sportsman Event of the Year:
Todd Allen
Shelton Bowers
Tommy Brakeman
Josh Calvert
Arthur Conquest
Craig Cuzzone
Scott Garrity
Jason Garver
Chris Harvey
Brian Hull
Cody Johnson
Wesley Keller
Kyle Maynard
Patrick Mennenga
Jeff Prescott
Greg Talley
Aaron Williamson
David Williamson
Josh Wise
Please note that all of these guys may not make it, but there will be others not on this list who will. Nonetheless, there will be a pretty stout field with most of the best Sportsman drivers in the state.
Update: Tommy Brakeman who owns the 20 car and Kyle Maynard drives, will not be there for this race. The car won't be finished being clipped after the wreck at Citrus last week. They are working on the SLM for the Govenors Cup and shaking it out this Saturday over at NSS.

RIP Jack Smith and Kim Brown. Many thanks for all you have done for our sport.
I'm just curious; if they normally pay $375 to win a 25 lap feature, shouldn't the winner of a 75 lapper get at least $1125? (375 x 3 = 1125)
Never seen that 'formula' before.. Purse is determined by sponsorship money for a peticular race. We had a OWM 50 lap race up there for $800 to win and a $50 entrance fee. NSS 50 lapper is $1000 to win and no entrance fee.
Different tracks, different pay schedules..

How can you make plans to go somewhere,if they dont even know what the payoff is going to be,if its going to be off of car count, then show the plan. $60. EF/$60. to start = no pay.....come on now, how can that work?
It is greatly appreciated by all the staff of Ellisville Speedway for the many kind comments about the upcoming 75 lap Sportsman race. As Scott has already posted, the Ford family is doing all they can to just keep the lights turned on and keep short track racing active in North Florida. The only GUARANTEE that is being made by the track for this race as they have for all their races this year is that the winner will receive $1100.00. Other tracks have GUARANTEES also, but there has to be at least so many cars for that payout. Others drivers have made statements about having a great time racing there, the experience of pitting on the infield and being able to make a pit stop during a caution. These are all true statements.
The track scheduled this race knowing that there were NO OTHER major Sportsman races taking place that evening hoping to draw a large field of cars. The track is also doing everything it can by advertising this race in the Lake City area, around Alachua County and Columbia County, for the past two weeks on the tracks website and postings being made here on KARNAC hoping to draw a BIG crowd also. We are also working on a deal with the local hotels to give anyone that wants to spend the night or two nights a discounted price.
SO, with all that in mind, you can still go to NSS and race with how ever many cars show up, you can stay at home and MISS the experience of racing this 1/2 mile track, or you can do like Scott Garrity and others have done and come out and RACE this fine track. Don't make the WRONG move. come on out to Ellisville Speedway and have the experience of your life.
